Skye gave up. She then got closer to Marshall, then sobbed: “Please wake up...please Marshall, I can’t...I just don’t want...you to die...not now...please.”
Skye then cried. She felt alone. She felt nothing in her heart but Marshall. Skye tried calling for help but...nobody was around. Tears then went down from her eyes, as she couldn’t resist anymore.
Suddenly...
Skye heard a groan from Marshall. She then looked at Marshall, who was slowly opening his eyes.
Marshall then coughed out sea water from his lungs, then panted hard. He then felt his body hurting all over. “O-Ow..” He groaned again. “I-I’m...dead...? Or I’m not dead...what just...happened...?”
Marshall then looked up and saw Skye smiling, while crying in tears. “S-Skye...I’m dead...? Is this...heaven...?” Marshall asked. Skye replied: “Y-Y-You...you’re alive...you’re alive Marshall...!!” Skye then hugged Marshall, while crying.
Marshall was surprised by Skye’s reaction, but he said nothing and hugged her back. “Heh...I’m not dead, I won’t die that easily...I just...drank too much...water.” Marshall reassured her. She giggled a little, then replied: “You silly...I was...so worried...for a moment there...!! Just...don’t you leave me...ever again...” She cried in happiness.
They then broke free from the hug. Marshall then wiped Skye’s tears with his paw. “Aww...don’t cry. It’s not like...I’m going to leave you here.” Skye then wiped her tears and smiled: “Just...promise me, you will not die...please.” Marshall then nodded. “Also...thank you. For saving me just then...” Marshall said.
“I’m sorry if...I hit you on the back.” Skye then blushed and apologised. Marshall then felt pain on his back, but he replied: “No worries...this is nothing. And it’s...not your fault for doing so. You’re just...trying to wake me up?” Skye nodded.
Marshall then had thoughts on his head: “Does Skye really care about me this much...? She even...saved me back then I was going to die...” He then looked at Skye, but then sighed and thought: “Maybe we’re just friends...because that’s what friends do.” He smiled.
“I bought us some time...Sweetie might come back anytime. We’ll have to go inside...the lookout.” Skye said. Marshall replied: “Yeah...Sweetie roughed us pretty bad over there. We’ll need to rest for now...” Marshall added.
Before Marshall could even stand to his paws, Skye caught him before he could fall on the ground. “Oh no, you’re hurting...pretty bad.” Skye said in worry. “Ow...pretty much.” Marshall grunted.
“And just where do you pups think you’re going?!” A familiar voice came from behind them.
“S-Sweetie...?” Marshall turned over and got shocked when Sweetie had returned from under the sea. “You pesky pups had really given me a hard time fighting with you pups...!!” Sweetie groaned in rage. “Same goes...for us.” Skye replied.
“But I will show no more remorse to you pups anymore...and this time, you will face your punishment over the great queen of Barkingburg, me!! Prepared to be blasted to oblivion!!” After Sweetie had finished, she then launched a huge purple energy beam at the two pups.
The two pups knew that, they can’t dodge it in time. Skye then said: “Marshall...” She then placed a paw on Marshall’s back, then added: “Forgive me for this...” She then pushed and launched Marshall towards the sea with a whirlwind just before the attack hit on them. Marshall then fell into the sea again, while Skye...got hit by Sweetie’s beam. The beam then sent Skye all the way to the beach.
Sweetie, however, didn’t notice that Marshall was launched off by Skye. She then growled and went towards the beach at full speed.
Skye grunted, as she crashed on the sand heavily. Sweetie then landed in front of her and snarled: “Had enough games?!” Skye slowly got up, then replied: “Well...you know what Sweetie...?”
“Here’s my answer...no!” Skye then launched a whirlwind at Sweetie. Sweetie was caught off guard as she got hit and sent backwards.
“You disgust me, Sk-“ Sweetie got interrupted again where dozens of whirlwind spheres came on top of her and they hit on her, sending her crashing into the sea once again.
Sweetie then launched energy blasts from underwater. The energy blasts then came on top of the water and headed to Skye. Skye managed to block them all, but she got distracted when an energy rope came out and tied her leg. Skye then got dragged into the water as well.
Sweetie then fired a huge energy blast at Skye. Skye tried to escape, but failed as the blast hit on her hard, creating a mini explosion.
Skye winced in pain, but endured it and flew upwards with her whirlwind, dragging Sweetie up with her energy rope as well. Skye and Sweetie then got out from the water.
Skye cut off the energy rope with a wind slash, then released many wind slashes at Sweetie. Sweetie was surprised by this move Skye made, then created an energy sword and countered all of the wind slashes.
Just as Sweetie was done, Skye then flew in front of Sweetie and punched her face with a powerful whirlwind punch, then blasted her again with a huge pressured pink tornado, sending her back to the beach. Sweetie grunted loudly in pain.
As Sweetie was about to crash on the sand, she grunted and quickly dragged Skye again with an energy rope. Both pups then crashed on the sand heavily.
Skye and Sweetie were seen laying on the sand, while panting in exhaustion. Both pups then tried to get up again. But of course, Sweetie got up again before Skye could. “Now...now I’ve...got you...” Sweetie said, while panting hard.
She then fired a mini energy blast at Skye. Skye then got hit a few feet away. She then fell on the sand again. Sweetie slowly walked up to Skye. She then created an energy sword on her paw. “Consider this...as a lesson to you...for not messing...with...me again...” Sweetie said, while panting in exhaustion.
Skye then slowly looked up, and she saw that Sweetie was about to deal the final blow to her. She tried getting up, but failed as she collapsed on the sand.
Meanwhile, Marshall got out from the water. He then climbed on a bridge debris, then breathed hard. “Ow...what was...that for, Skye...?” He then felt his back hurt a lot more than before.
Marshall then saw something on the beach. “What’s that...” He then looked closer, and his eyes grew wide. “Skye...she’s-“
“Looks like you’re worn out.” Sweetie mocked. She then raise her energy sword up. “And now, you’re done.”
Skye then closed her eyes. “So this is it...this is how it is.” Her thoughts then came out of her mind. She then let out a tear: “I’m sorry...Marshall.”
Marshall’s paw then glowed even brighter and brighter. He felt an unfamiliar energy coming out from his body.
“Don’t...”
Sweetie then slash her sword down at Skye.
Glowing fire then came out from Marshall’s paws.
“You...”
Before the sword made contact...
Marshall leaped towards the beach without even thinking...
“Dare...!!”
An explosion then came out from Sweetie’s slash. The sand around it then blew to other directions.
Sweetie was shocked at what she saw in front of her. Something got in her way from her energy slash.
Skye then opened her eyes. “W-What just happened...?” She then saw a pup, holding a long energy fire bone on his paw, while blocking Sweetie’s energy sword...
