“Marshall...Marshall...” Marshall felt like someone called his name. He then opened his eyes.
Marshall then saw Katie in front of him. “K...Katie...?” Marshall asked. Katie replied: “You’re awake! Thank goodness.”
Marshall asked again: “Where...is this place?” He then looked around. Katie replied: “You’re in the clinic...for now, you need to rest.”
Katie then examined his body and said: “Well, based on the reports, you got excessive strain on your paws, so you can’t do any activities during this time, or your paws might hurt again. You’ve got several bruises all over your body...but I’ve got that covered already. So in the meantime, you need to rest.”
Marshall then looked at his paws and replied: “My paws...? But they look perfectly fine-“ Marshall then moved his front paws, but then he felt pain on his paws. “Oww...okay, maybe it’s not.” He then grunted in pain.
“But why did my paws ache like this...? Didn’t I just-“ He then suddenly remembered his fight with Sweetie, back then he absorbed Sweetie’s energy blast with his both paws. “Ohh...so that’s the reason.” Marshall groaned.
“How long have I been asleep?” Marshall then asked. Katie replied: “To be exact, you’ve been out of commission for three days.”
“Three days?!” Marshall gasped. He then got up in shock. “Oh no...oh no!! How did I slept that long?! Who knows the other villains will-“
“Calm down Marshall!” Katie then reassured Marshall. “Don’t worry, the city is safe...thanks to you pups. You all were the saviours of Adventure Bay, so I must thank you.”
“Wait...so, the villains were defeated?” Marshall asked again. Katie nodded. Marshall then sighed in relief.
“Wait a second...” Marshall then remembered something. “What happened after that? How did I end up in the clinic? How did you and the others get out from the lookout after the mayhem? What happened to Skye, Chase and the rest?” Marshall had a ton of questions on his head, wanting to know what happened after the fight with Sweetie.
Before Katie could answer, a voice came from behind them. “Marshall, he’s finally awake!!” Marshall and Katie then turned around and saw Ryder, Chase and Skye coming towards them.
“Marshall!!” Chase and Skye shouted, then ran at Marshall and hugged him tightly. “Hey guys, it’s nice to see you again!!” Marshall then said.
“The good news is, you’re alive Marshall!!” Skye replied in excitement. “Yeah, we thought that you’re dead back there!” Chase added. They then let go of the hug.
Marshall then smiled and asked: “So...what happened after that?” Ryder then replied: “Well, it’s a long story. We’ll tell you everything then.”
“So everything started when Rocky went out of the lookout and he saw a strange energy beam coming from the beach. He then went back to the lookout and told me everything, so I went on top of the tower and used the periscope to see what happened on the beach. And then I saw the both of you.” Ryder then pointed at Marshall and Skye.
Katie added: “And after that, Ryder told all of us that it’s safe to come out, and we did. And that’s how we got out.”
Chase continued: “Then Ryder and Katie brought me to the clinic for treatment. When we got there, we saw the buildings and facilities got ruined by those villains!!Good thing Katie’s clinic wasn’t destroyed. though...” Katie then giggled.
“You got lucky there, Chase. You’re almost dead when we arrived there. You really had terrible wounds on your body.” Katie then looked at Chase. Chase then looked at his body, covered in bandages. He replied: “Yeah, I got to say...I’m lucky.”
