carina's pov:
its the next day which is also the day before maya's birthday. i want to make her birthday special because its her 18th birthday. i've decided that tomorrow i'm going to make a fort in my room to surprise her. i know that she loves making a fort out of blankets and pillows and whatever else she thinks will make it comfier. the problem is that i have no clue how i'm supposed to do this while she is in my house so i'm going to ask mason and andrea to take her somewhere for an hour or two tomorrow. there is another problem i am 100% sure that i have a crush on maya. i can't tell her that tho because what if she doesn't feel the same way. i think i've had a crush on her way before we both came out as bi to each other about a year ago. i'm so terrified that i will accidentally tell her that i like her because i can't lose her she's my favorite person in the world other than my mama and my annoying little brother. i went to andrea's room to go ask him and mason if they could take maya somewhere tomorrow while i made the fort.
CD - "ciao can i ask you two for a favor please?"
MB - "of course carina what's up?"
CD - "could you guys make maya take you somewhere or do something to distract her for a couple of hours tomorrow? i want to surprise her with something."
AD - "sure but what are you going to surprise her with?"
CD - "i'm not telling you."
AD - "what why not?"
CD - "andrea when was the last time you actually kept a secret for me?"
AD - "i didn't tell anyone that you was bi after you told me."
Mason - "that's a lie you told me the next day."
CD - "UGHHHH ANDREA SEE THIS IS WHY IM NOT TELLING YOU! non puoi mai mantenere un segreto! per questo non ti dico mai niente! soprattutto per cui ho una cotta -" (btw i don't speak italian so if any of that is wrong i am so sorry i used google translate. english- you can never keep a secret! this is why i never tell you anything! especially that i have a crush on -)
Maya - "woah what did i just walk into."
AD - "fammi indovinare che hai una cotta per lei?" (english- let me guess you have a crush on her?)
Maya - "english please mason and i have no idea what you two are saying."
Mason - "actually i know what they are saying because i've been learning italian for about a year now."
Maya - "i've been telling someone that she should teach me italian but she's only taught me hi, beautiful, pretty, and baby. can you tell me what they are saying please?"
AD - "your girlfriend was screaming at me because i apparently can't keep secrets."
Maya - "she's not my girlfriend." maya looks so flustered by that. its so cute but does that also mean that she likes me too.
AD - "also car why did you teach her beautiful, pretty, and baby before anything else?"
Maya - "she calls me bella, bellina, and bambina all of the time."
AD - "i'm definitely right about who your crush is then."
CD - "ANDREA!"
Maya - "wait why was you three even talking about secrets and oooo who is your crush car?"
maya's pov:
Carina - "oh um i don't remember why we was talking about secrets haha and my crush oh um n-no one." i know carina is probably going to surprise me for my birthday tomorrow that's why she's acting suspicious. also she definitely does have a crush on someone. the problem is i do too and its the italian goddess that i'm talking to. ughhh im so terrified that i'll tell her and screw up our friendship. i can't lose her she's not just my best friend she's my home and telling her would probably just make me lose my home forever.
