maya's pov:

its now monday and mason and i have to go home today because we have school tomorrow. we have to leave in 10 minutes. i'm afraid of what my dad will say after we get home. i already know he's going to make me run a lot tonight especially since i have a track meet tomorrow after school. i'm afraid that i won't win first place because i haven't ran in a couple of days. if i don't win i know that my dad will make me walk home even tho the track meet is at a different school which is about 20 miles away. 

Carina - "are you ok bella?"

Maya - "yeah i'm just nervous about going home." carina hugs me after i said that.

Carina - "its going to be ok bella and if its not you can always call me or text me."

Maya - "i wish i could just stay here with you forever." i hugged her a little bit tighter.

Carina - "i wish you could too."

i just parked my car in the driveway. as soon as mason and i got inside my dad started yelling.

Lane - "where have you two been?!"

Maya - "we spent the weekend at carina and andrew's house. mom said that she was going to tell you."

Lane - "she did but even tho you was at your friends doesn't mean that you could have a break from training maya!"

Maya - "i thought that we couldn't have practice because they was using the track for something."

Lane - "they was but that's not the only place that you could've been training."

Maya - "i'm sorry."

Lane - "get ready we are going to the track. be outside in 5 minutes or else you'll have to run extra." i went to my room and got changed. i texted carina before i went outside.

my dad is really mad and making me run already.

i just got to the track and i'm under the bleachers but please be careful bambina. ❤️

i just barely got outside and in the car before the 5 minutes my dad gave me to get ready was up. we just got to my school. i'm following my dad to the track but i secretly looked over to the bleachers and saw carina. i secretly waved to her and she did the same then blew me a kiss. i'm really anxious about my dad making me run but seeing carina made me calm down a little bit.

carina's pov:

maya's dad has been making maya run for about 2 hours now but maya looks like she could either pass out or throw up. her dad made her stop running but only to tell her that she has to run 10 more laps and then walk home. he then went to his car and drove away. as soon as i did see his car anymore i ran over to maya to make sure that she was ok.
