(*Sae and Rin in this chapter 😂Y/N is the ball🥴)

' Were the renowned Itoshi brothers get caught up in a love triangle '

Teal orbs gleamed as the sunset hue rested on them. The gentle breeze brushed itself against his stray hair strands which caused a slight irritation. He didn't pay mind to that though. His thoughts were preoccupied at the moment. The scenery was awfully familiar that it brought back memories.

Watching the sunset with Sae and talking about their dreams. It always seemed as if Sae believed in him.
Y/N would always chip into the conversation, saying the most random things that would always have Rin and Sae rolling over in fits of laughter.
Seeing the proud smirk on her face after making them laugh would make Rin so happy and it seemed as if that had the same effect on Sae too.

Y/N...

It had been so long since Rin had seen her. She was an honest, loving and reliable friend, but in the end, Rin didn't reciprocate.
Remembering the words he said to her in the past made his heart ache and on top of that, after their quarrel, Rin only spotted her at school for a week. Whenever she'd try to start up a conversation with him, he'd rudely dismiss her and after many attempts of trying to get things normal again, she disappeared. He didn't think he should reach out to her or infact, he didn't want to reach out to her since he was going through a lot of emotions. He thought that her presence was simply...

Irrelevant

How wrong he was though.
He would often find himself thinking about her in the midst of an intense match. It reminded him of her rooting for him during all of his games. Her loud cheering would give him a boost of confidence which caused the adrenaline rush to come through and he'd do the extraordinary.
Afterwards she'd run up to him with the brightest smile and praise his actions. Rin couldn't help but feel proud and this tiny, unusual feeling for Y/N kept growing. He knew it wasn't friendship but something much more deeper. Though the unexpected turn of events ended up eradicating that tiny feeling which was replaced with pure hatred for Sae.
There wasn't a reason to hate Y/N but it seemed as if she just got caught up in the crossfire.
Rin recalled that she was crying when she came to him and he instantly knew that it was Sae's doing. She had also mentioned that he was acting weird. He clenched his teeth and cursed Sae for that, but remembering that he had done almost the exact same thing made him sigh.

They were brothers and they were very alike.

That tiny foreign feeling Rin felt before was returning but it was also accompanied by guilt.
So one thing led to another and he found himself at a flower shop looking at Y/N's favorite flowers.

Roses

Their sickly sweet scent reminded him of her. As he brought the bouquet to his nose for the nostalgia his eye caught something in it's peripheral vision. His head shot in that direction and he couldn't mistaken those short red locks for anything. It was definitely his brother, Sae. It seemed as if he was going through the same flowers as him.

Roses

Rin was shocked by this discovery. Why would Sae Itoshi be present in a flower shop looking at bunch of roses unless...
Rin widened his eyes in realisation.

Sae was here for the same reason as him.

Rin glared at Sae and as if he could sense Rin burning holes into him with his eyes, Sae shot his head in the direction where his little brother was and they both looked at each other dumbfounded by each other's presence. Sae blinked as Rin frowned then growled.

' You!' Rin growled as he pointed at Sae with the accusing finger whilst marching towards him. Sae on the other hand was nonchalant about the matter as he raised both his brows.
