"Again."

I jumped across the training course once more. Over the planks, somersaulting around the spinning swords, dodging the dummies, and whipping around. I collapsed at the end of the course.

"Argh! I don't understand why I can't do it!" I moaned as I lay on my back, staring at the sky in frustration.

"Patience, Celine. Spinjitzu takes time to learn," Kai spoke, offering me his hand to stand up.

"Easy for you to say. You guys learned it in days. I've been at this for over a month. What am I missing?"

"It'll come," Kai encouraged.

"What if it doesn't? I don't really have an elemental power. Maybe that's my problem. I just don't have it in me."

"As a wise person once told me, 'you're trying too hard,'" Nya remarked as she stepped outside and into the monastery courtyard.

"Wasn't that 'wise person' Ronin?" I asked dubiously.

"I'll admit, not the greatest guy. But it was some pretty good advice," Nya shrugged.

"Where is that guy nowadays anyway?" Kai questioned, "It makes me a little nervous that we haven't heard from or about him in a while. Who knows what he's been up to?"

"Apparently he's working for the police department. Catching criminals that escaped Kryptarium during the breakout a few weeks ago," Nya offered.

"I wonder how long it will take for that to backfire on them," I mumbled as I walked back to the beginning of the course, preparing to run it again, but paused.

"Someone's at the door," I deadpanned. A moment later, a knock echoed through the monastery courtyard.

"It never fails to amaze me how you do that," Kai mused aloud.

Pixal and Lloyd entered the courtyard as Nya opened the double doors. On the other side stood an elder man in glasses. His gray hair faded into sideburns which ran down his face, meeting in a full beard and mustache combo and he carried a cardboard box overflowing with documents in manila folders.

"Is this the residents of one Misako Montgomery Garmadon?" he inquired.

"Yes, it is," Lloyd answered warily.

"I must speak with you then," the man replied, pushing his way into the courtyard.

Lloyd glanced at us, shrugged, and guided the man into the lounge. Jay and Cole were already there, reading, which caught me slightly off guard.

"I am Cecil Putnam, manager of the Explorer's Club," the man began. "I regret to inform you that Misako Montgomery Garmadon's membership has been cancelled, effective immediately. Here are the items emptied from her club locker." Cecil shoved the box into Lloyd's grasp as he stared at the man, confused.

"On what grounds?" Zane questioned.

"I'm afraid it's club policy," Cecil elaborated, "Whenever a member is missing and presumed lost at sea, the club revokes their membership."

"What are you talking about?" Nya demanded.

"Oh there's no need to panic," Cecil continued, "Her position will be given to another worthy applicant. The club will prevail."

Lloyd snapped. Throwing down the box of documents, he demanded "I'm not worried about the club! I'm worried about my mother and Master Wu. Where are they?"

"They were leading an expedition with Professor Powers to attempt to navigate the Storm Belt and prove her theory about the Uncharted Island," Cecil responded calmly, "But as we haven't heard from them in several weeks, the expedition is presumed lost."
