chapter seven

Sunghoon froze, not even moving a little. Sunoo realized what he had just said so he quickly wipe his tears and stood up. "Haha, I like joking! I'm sorry." He pretended that nothing happened, holding out a hand for Sunghoon so the latter could get up too, but he still stayed there, rethinking again and again what Sunoo had told him. Damn it, Sunghoon! Get over it.

He raised his head up with an obvious fake smile on his face that Sunoo knew Sunghoon forced. But he tried to act like he hasn't said that at all.  Sunghoon held Sunoo's hand and got up. He felt something. When he touched it, it felt like he just touched the heaven. It was really soft and Sunghoon just wanted to hold that hand forever.

Nevertheless, he tried not to show any emotion other than a fake smile and a fake happiness.

And we have Sunoo who stressed over this small thing. He just said that Sunghoon makes him fall in love! But, even though he was convinced Sunghoon is not real, there he was trying to give him explanations that what he said was just a lie.

Why is he being so silly? Maybe Sunghoon didn't even hear it. But considering at how the older froze when he sayed that, it was more obvious that he was too stunned to speak.

Sunoo sighed. What is this man doing to him?

It reminds him of someone.
Someone he wishes to not remember anything about.

It brings back memories that he hardly tried to forget about.

But he just couldn't.

Someone he loved, hurt him more than anything.

But, everything goes on in life, right?

Forget about the bad things and focus on the good things.

This is the principle on which Sunoo works.

If you'll focus on things that hurt you, your life will get worse.

But, if you'll focus on things that make you want to live, bring you joy and a smile on your face, everything stars to light up. 

The boy woke up in the same clothes as yesterday, and right then he remembers how he fell asleep without even changing.

Sunoo could remember very clearly the dream he had this night and it was so fresh, remembering every detail in it. He shutted his eyes tight, repeating in his head 'forget it' multiple times, so he would actually forget about it.

The boy stayed like that for some good minutes, but he couldn't forget so he eventually got up, lazily dragging his feet behind him. Sunoo thought of visiting his mom today after he will eat and stay for a little. He hasn't seen her in a long time.

He went to take a shower, and after that put on a comfy outfit, and ate something. He opened his phone and scrolled through social medias, seeing photos of him and Jungwon that Jake posted and made him chuckle a bit.

After staying for a bit longer than what he wanted, he got out of his house and went to the hospital.

Sunoo slowly opened the door of the room in which was his mom there. When he opened it his eyes saw a figure staying on a bed with her eyes half closed, half awake. He immediately closed the door silently, and walked next to the hospital bed.

His mom's eyes looked around for the boy who entered, but she didn't see anything. The boy got up, and smiled warmly at her. He wanted to hug her, cry and tell all the things that happened when she wasn't there so bad. But he couldn't, not until she's healthy.

"Mom?" He spoke he spoke slowly, making his mom smile. She hummed in response and her hands started to look for his face.

Sunoo felt like crying, and his vision became blurry, a tear rolling down his cheek. "It's me, Sunoo." He sniffled, and held her eyes on his face.

His mom smiled weakly and nodded a little to show that she understands what he says.
"Don't worry mom, i'm going to get you out of here soon. . .!" He wiped his tears, but it didn't work since more of them came out of the eye.

"D-don't cry." She said, wiping the tears with her thumb. Sunoo nodded, and sniffled. "Everything is going to be fine my little boy." She once more smiled.

Sunoo nodded.

He stayed more with her, talking and saying things that happened since he didn't visit her.

He loves his mom so much, but everything he loves is fading away.
