Parking in the garage as soon as they got to their house, Amelia unbuckled Joana from her baby car seat and placed her on the floor so that Joana could already walk or crawl through the entrance that was also connected to the house.
Joana stumbled as she made her way to the house and sometimes fell to her knees, but she did not sustain any harmful injuries
While Joana was entering the house, Amelia took the grocery bags out of the car and locked the car up.
She entered the room and spotted Joana already sitting on the couch giggling next to her father in the living room. In order to observe what her husband and child are doing, Amelia put the groceries on the kitchen table and went to the living room.
Seeing that her husband's was wearing foolish alien glasses and his facial expressions towards Joana even caused the little baby to laugh and clap with her hands.
Amelia gazed at them and decided to join them, sitting down next to her husband, taking Joana from his side, and letting the baby sit on her lap. "I think now I know why she is smiling," she stated.
As Richarlison looked at his wife, memories of Amelia's message about arriving in less than an hour flooded his mind. "Took you more than an hour to get here," he playfully teased, recalling her initial promise.
Amelia chuckled, "I know, I know! But I got a bit distracted on my way here. I passed by this adorable clothes store, and they had the cutest baby sweatshirts in the window. I just couldn't resist going in and ended up spending more time than I planned"
She settled down on the couch next to him, placing the baby on his lap once more. With excitement in her eyes, Amelia continued, "You won't believe how adorable these sweatshirts are. Let me show you!" She got up and rushed to the kitchen, searching through the shopping bags until she found the two precious hoodies she had bought.
Returning to the living room with a big smile, she proudly displayed the two little garments to her spouse. "Look at this one," she said, holding up a beige sweatshirt with a cute bear print. "I mean, can you blame me for buying it? It practically begged me to take it home when I saw it!"
Richarlison couldn't help but smile at his wife's excitement. "It's really cute," he agreed, appreciating the adorable design. As she recounted her shopping adventure, mentioning how it was the last one left and how she almost got into a friendly tussle with another mother over it and he laughed.
After all the talking, Amelia glanced at Joana and saw her leaning against her father's side, sleeping peacefully. Richarlison chuckled, glancing to his right and noticing Joana dozing off. "Damn, how did she fall asleep with all your babbling?" he joked.
Amelia looked at her watch, contemplating their next move. "It's 18:24. Should I start putting her to bed and do her entire nighttime routine, or should I just let her take a nap, and then do the whole nighttime routine and change her when she probably wakes up around 21 o'clock?" she asked Richarlison, seeking his opinion.
"The first option seems better than the second one," replied Richarlison, sinking deeper into the couch, clearly comfortable where he was.
"Alright, then. I'll go with the first option," Amelia decided, lifting Joana from the couch and gently carrying her to her bedroom.
As Amelia led Joana to her bedroom, she grinned and said, "Let's get you ready for bed."After caring for Joana and putting her to bed, Amelia headed back to the living room and overheard Richarlison talking on the phone.
"Yeah, I'm going to be there at 19:45. Till later."
Curious, Joana asked as she entered the living room, "Where are you going?"
Richarlison turned to face his daughter, offering a warm smile. "I'm going out with some of my fellow football players. We're going clubbing tonight since our team has been doing great in the Premier League," he replied, trying to sound enthusiastic.
