Chapter 3- February 14, 2013

"Uhg, the last two days have been dreadful," I said to my bestfriend, Winter. I always loved her name, it was so unique.

"I know, I know," she said on the other end.

"No. You don't know," I sharply answered back. "I've spent the last two days crying myself to sleep because it's the anniversary of my mothers death. On top of that I've had to deal with my bitchy sister, and my creep of a brother." I waited for her to reply, and when I didn't hear anything on the other end, I knew I over reacted.

"Sorry, I didn't mean it to come out as harsh as it did, it's just been a rough week all together."

"It's all good, we all have those days of total melt downs," Winter said back, brightning up my mood. "On a happier note, have you listened to Justin's accoustic album yet? It's pretty amazing."

"Yes," I replied back, my mood quickly turned around. "The album just proves how talented he is."

"Talented? What a joke!" I heard my sister yell from the other room. "That boy couldn't sing a note if his life depended on it," she added with a laugh.

"Winter, I got to go, I'll talk to you late," I quickly said, not giving her time to reply as I hung up the phone. I stormed out of my room, bursting into Krista's.

"I'm sorry what was that?" I snapped at her. "He's not talented? Yeah, that's why he has so many-"

"Shut up," Krista blankly stated. "I'm sick and tired of listening to you fan girl about this kid who hasn't even hit puberty yet. He has no talent, and the only reason he is as famous as he is is because of his looks. The only thing he has going good for him now is his money. Hell, I'd date him just for that. Money." She was sick. I couldnt even reply not wanting to hear what else she would say. I tried to be the bigger person and just leave.

Krista's POV:

Wow, she was so annoying she's so obsessed. I mean he is kinda cute, nice smile, and muscles.. what am I doing? I hate him though, his voice is so high, and he really has no talent. But money.. he has a lot of that. I bet he would get his girlfriend anything. It's like a light just went on in my head. I quickly grabbed my phone and dialed Jake's number.

"Hey Babe," he answered in his scruffly low voice.

"Hey boo," I said with a smile. "So I've got an idea about something to get you some money."

"What is it?" He eagerly asked.

"Just come over and we'll talk about it, k?"

"Okay, I'll be over in about 15 minutes."

"Alrighty."

"Love you," he added.

"Love you too hun." I replied as I got butterflies in my stomach. We've been going out for almost a year now, and yet I still get butterflies every time he says that.
