When Tim finally arrived, Skully made no mention of Brian visiting him until they reached the hotel; away from prying ears. When he brought it up, Tim paused before sighing. "Whenever I called you Jay I wasn't wrong," Tim paused as Skully thought for a moment. "So that is what my name used to be." When Tim nodded, he noticed that Tim was holding himself more anxiously, like anything and everything could go wrong.

He found himself copying him.

There was a long fit of silence before Tim continued. "We were close, very close. I'd say that we were friends." There was another pause. Skully wanted to comfort him but found he didn't know how. He let it be. "You've seen the tapes, Jay died. In Benedict Hall to someone he just wanted to help." Skully sat in silence before nodding slowly.

He felt his hand go to his side. "Don't freak out." Tim glanced up and bit his lip when Skully lifted his shirt slightly, to reveal the wound in his side. As Skully watched Tim look at it, realization crept on his face. "Does it still hurt?" Skully looked down at it. "It reopens every now and then, so yeah it does hurt sometimes." when Skully set the shirt back down, he let out a deep breath before looking at Tim. "Could you just, remind me of everything." Tim looked at Skully, and Skully could feel his eyes on him.

"What do you want to know,"

The two didn't know the time anymore, and they found that they didn't care. As Tim talked, Skully sat and listened. The few times Skully interjected, it was to add to what he remembered and to ask for clarification.

When the alarm went off, Skully flinched before looking up at Tim. He looked tired and worn down, but happiness shone in his eyes. Skully grinned fondly at him before leaning on his shoulder. "We should probably take a rest day. I know it isn't the smartest move but we both need it." Tim glanced before nodding. "Fair enough."

As the two sat there, Skully shut his eyes before speaking. "Tim?" There was a pause. "Yes?" Skully sat there for a while. "Thank you for not calling me Jay while I don't remember being him." There was another long pause. "Common courtesy. Now sleep, Merrick." Skully paused before grinning and slowly falling asleep.
