Dancing In The Dark (Hoseok X Reader)

Splosh! My chuck taylors hit the wet pavement outside Willowgreen Dance Studio. Despite the fact that it was raining, I had a positive feeling about today. I had been interested in dance for a long while now, and I saved up enough money for me, and my best friends Madison and Allie to join me. We entered the sliding doors and I couldn't help but smile. This was the moment I had been waiting for the past year.

"Welcome!" said the instructor. She had long dark hair that was pulled back in a ponytail. "My name is Jisoo, and I will be your instructor." I shook her hand and she smiled.

Madison nudged me to get my attention. "Isn't he your neighbor?" She pointed to a boy on the other side of the room. She was right. That boy lived in the apartment down the hall from mine.

"Yes. I don't remember his name though."

"Me neither."

I had never really seen my neighbor up close, only in the parking lot or by the street. He has messy dark brown hair, and shiny eyes. He was next to two other boys I recognized from my school, Taehyung and Jungkook. What really stood out for me about his face was his beaming smile. Gosh, I could stare at that smile forever.

Allie joined our conversation. "His friend is kinda cute though," She pointed to Taehyung.

"I thought you liked Harry from math class," Madison judged, "and besides his other friend Jungkook is cuter."

"I can like two people." Allie complained.

As my friends fought, I looked into my neighbor's smile. I couldn't believe I never noticed him until now.

"Alright!" Shouted Jisoo, distracting me. She led us through some warmups, and played the song we would be rehearsing.

"A love song?!" I asked.

"Indeed." Jisoo replied. And for this you will be needing a partner to dance with. Now before we leave, I will list the partners."

I took a deep breath. Please don't be my neighbor, I prayed.

Jisoo took out a slip of paper. "Allie and Taehyung."

Allie grabbed Madison and squealed with excitement.

"Madison and Jungkook"

Madison hid her bright red face in her hair as Allie teased her.

"And last but not least, y

and Hoseok."

So that was his name. Well at least he lived close. And maybe he was a little, tiny, bit cute.
