It didn't take long for a week to pass. I avoided contact with Kendred, Desmond, and Cerberus. Since I was avoiding Desmond, I avoided Ren. Then Xavier was always in a office planning the party. Not to mention I was forbidden to see Jasper. In cause I would tell him about the party. So I spent all my time with the mermaids.
Jasper made me a special bracelet that could be used as a key to get through the invisible wall. Octavia taught me how to do multiple different kinds of braids. Amatheia showed me all sorts of different fish species. They even introduced me to another friend of theirs. Her name is Laxandra, she has indigo natural coloured hair and tail. She wears a silk see through covering over her shells. They're all the same periwinkle colour. Laxandra showed me that her role in the sea culture is to manage the marine animals. She told me that she's always dreamed of being the chef for the mer-Queen and King. Though she doesn't have the culinary knowledge.
After I put on a pair of blue jeans and a light yellow top I fish tailed my hair to the side. Satisfied with my outfit I put on a light layer of makeup and closed the bathroom door. I noticed that none of the other guys are on my floor. Which to be honest is really nice to have privacy. Everyone is either on the third floor or on the first floor. I wonder if Xavier had anything to do with that? I glanced at the alarm clock beside my bed. It read 8:16 AM on August sixth. Suddenly an interesting thought came to mind. I have lived with the guys for two months now. I graduated half way through June. At least a day after I was taken in to the care of the supernaturals. I mean, the care of the guys.
"How could it be two months already?" I said aloud, startled.
I shook it out of my mind and went down the hall. As I passed the library I smiled at it's large beautiful closed doors. Just the thought of that room made me fill with joy. That joy faded as I remembered I still have many, many, problems to solve. So many secrets, in what feels like so little time. I heard a bell ring from downstairs. I followed the noise to the front door. I peeked through the little glass hole. I saw no one. Strange.
"Ah! Your up!" Xavier exclaimed.
I turned around to see him, he was wearing a crisp white long sleeve with blue jeans. {in the image above its the bottom right outfit}
"Good morning." I smiled at him."Why don't you look lovely!" He put his arm around my shoulders and walked with me to the closest conservatory.
"I've been meaning to talk to you before the party begins!"I thanked him for the compliment then sat down beside him. "I'm all ears."
"You have the most servants quarters by your room. The guys have been pestering me to hire people to help out with the cleaning. To be paid of course. I know you have the whole floor to yourself, but I was wondering if you would mind sharing?" He waited for my response.
I thought about the cereal incident last week. "Yes, I think it would be a smart idea to hire some people. I wouldn't mind if they shared the second floor with me." I smiled at the thought of not having to clean the entire mansion by myself. Of course that doesn't mean I can get sloppy and do nothing. Then I would become ungrateful!
"Well I'm glad to hear that!" Xavier looked up at the clock on the wall.
"It's just us having the party, so we can start in about half an hour.""Well that makes food prep easy!" I laugh a little, "Only have to feed six!"
"Sorry, but I think you mean seven. Desmond is here too, remember?"
"Right." I stopped laughing hesitantly. "One question."
"What is it?"
"Will the employees be supernatural?"
"It will probably be a mixture."
