He did it. He finally did it. He saved everyone. He wasn't suppose to go back in time further than 12 years. But in order to save everyone, he needed to go back to the time before Mikey got into an accident. If he didn't, Shinichiro-san wouldn't have went insane with grief and sought the power of time leaping.

He looked at his friends. Shinichiro-san, Miley, Izana, Kaku-chan, Draken, Akkun, Hina... Everyone. Even Kisaki. Alive and well.

In order to save everyone, he had to break the rules. The condition was: he will be forgotten.

Takemichi hid behind a tree right in front of the Shrine. They were having a Toman meeting. He smiled, looking at them. Finally, after everything that he went through, they get a happy ending.

He walked away before anyone could see him.

He was in his room. He no longer had Mikey's original Toman uniform that he got when he saved Draken. Nor did he have the clover necklace he got for Hina.

He was alone now.

He missed them... so much.

-----------------

Days turned to weeks. Then weeks turned to months. Checking the shrine or S.S Motors became a habit. Watching his friends happy, made him happy. Reminding him that all his suffering in the past, and his loneliness today, were worth it. These are the thoughts that kept him sane.

Night came by, and he was in his room. He promised himself that he wouldn't cry himself to sleep tonight. He fails that promise every time. He closed his eyes shut, attempting to stop the tears that's already welling up.

Suddenly, his phone rang. It was an unknown number. He picked it up and his eyes widened.

Mikey?

"H-hello?" Takemichi was anxious. Why was he calling? How'd he even get that number?

"Congratulations sir! You won a ticket."

He raised a brow confused. Until he heard muffled snickering in the background. They sound like Draken and Chifuyu. He sighed in fondness. They do prank calls now? Of course.

"I did?" He asked to the phone.

"Yes sir, you got a free 2-way ticket to America."

"I cant believe it!" Takemichi played along. "Are you sure?"

More snickering in the background. Takemichi cant stop himself from smiling.

"Yes sir!"

Takemichi couldn't help but laugh. "That's never happened to me before. That's pretty cool."

"We will email you the information this week. Hope you enjoy your vacation!"

He could hear Mikey's fake enthusiasm and his usual cheekiness. Takemichi sucked in a breath. He had a feeling the prank call ends here so before Mikey could hang up, he spoke.

"Umm actually..." he started. "Before you go, can I have a favor?"

"What is it?"

He gulped, feeling tears prickling at his eyes. "Can you... can you say... you did good Takemitchy?"

"Why?"

"It's just..." he gulped again. "You sound like my friend. Please."

"Why not ask them yourself?"

"Because... because he's dead..."

Silence filled the call. Takemichi wondered if he shouldnt have said that. Maybe it was too weird to hear from a stranger. He opened his mouth, about to apologize and call it a day when Mikey's voice spoke.

"You did good, Takemitchy."

The dam burst. He gripped the phone tight, trying to keep it together. "T-thank you... thank you."

He kept thanking him, like a broken record. He was grateful for a lot of things. It was thanks to them for being excellent friends and support. Their patience for his weak ass. Their rowdiness, making everyday a great time. The comradery they shared, the teenage shenanigans, the loyalty, the friendship and love, the bruises and the tears, and their kindness. He's always wondered whether he was worthy of those things. He wasn't worthy of Hina's love, Mikey's friendship, or Chifuyu's loyalty. He wasn't worth anything. But they gave it to him anyway. He was truly grateful.

"Are you okay?"

"Sorry. I just... it's been awhile since I've got someone to talk to. Thank you for listening to my stupid request."

"No no, it's okay. It wasn't stupid at all. I'm glad I could help." A pause. "What would you say to him, if he was still alive?"

Classic Mikey. Always so kind.

"I would say-" he braced himself. "I hope that I was a g-good friend." Takemichi's lips quivered.

"That even when I was weak and stupid, I was not that much of a burden to you or to everyone. I hope that you and everyone are happy. That at least I did something good in my life. That I was not useless the entire time we were together."

He didn't know if the phone was on speaker but he hoped it was because this message was for all of them.

"I wish we could still be friends. I wish you were still here. With me."

Takemichi cried to the phone.

"I wish I could be with everyone again."

"I know I'm not good enough. I'm never good enough. But... I've tried haven't I? We made happy memories right? We had fun together didn't we?"

At this point, Takemichi was full on sobbing.

"I think you are a good person." Mikey said. "I'm sure you've done your best and I'm sure your friends are very proud of you."

A pause.

"I don't know what it's like to lose someone. So I can only imagine your pain."

This made Takemichi smile despite his tears.

"I know you'll be okay. It will take some time, but it'll be okay."

Takemichi chuckled softly. "Yeah."

"Thank you..." He was calmer now, less hysterical but still crying.

He's seen them. They were happy without him. And that's okay. Because at the end of the day, their happiness is his happiness. So if they were happy without him, then that's good enough for him. And with that, he decided, it was time.

"...and goodbye," he whispered softly.

Takemichi hung up first.
