After hanging up the phone, Mia walked downstairs with the biggest smile on her face. She found her parents arguing while the tv played reruns of Breaking Bad.
"Guys, I think I like someone." Mia said, but received no attention from either adult.
"Mom, dad, I might have a crush on Christian!" Mia yelled, which definitely got their attention, mostly her dad's.
"Did you say Nicholas?" Andy asked, hoping he heard wrong.
"Why would I say Nick? I don't even like him like that." Mia cringed. She didn't hate Nick, but she didn't exactly see him as her boyfriend.
"Good, you shouldn't. I've told you many times that he's rude-" Sylvia hit Andy with a pillow before he could continue with the slander.
"Yes, I know, dad, but we're not talking about Nick. Christian asked me out for ice cream on his birthday. Is it okay?" Mia asked. "I know you like it better when they ask face to face, but I really like Christian and it's for his birthday-"
"Okay." Andy replied.
"What?"
"I said okay. I like Christian and he treats you with respect."
Sylvia nodded. "We like Christian, honey. He seems like he listens to what you have to say. Wasn't he the only one that remembered that you hate eating popcorn?"
That was true. Mia hated popcorn, mostly because when she had her braces, she couldn't eat it and after her braces came off, her hatred for popcorn continued. She told that to Nick and Christian, but only one of them remembered.
"Yeah, he's nice to me and he's cute," Mia blushed at the thought of Christian.
"What did I say about dating? Not right now, sweetheart." Andy warned.
"I know, but it's not like he's going to ask me to be his girlfriend soon."
"You never know." Andy sighed as he remembered what had happened just a few minutes ago with Nick.
"Okay, I'm leaving now. You're acting weird." Mia rolled her eyes and ran upstairs back to her room. She closed her bedroom door and walked back to her bed and layed on it. Her phone screen lit up signaling that she had a new notification. She picked it up and saw a text from Christian.
Christian :) did you see what katherine from biology posted on her instagram?
Mia <3 no, i don't have instagram
Christian :) seriously? then what do you have on your phone?
Mia <3 twitter, tumblr and subway surfers
Christian :) you don't have Instagram but you have twitter..
Mia <3 twitter is funnier than instagram

After finally downloading the app, she entered her information and started to make her profile. If Christian was going to be her first follower, she had to actually make her profile look good.
