Disclaimer: Real-life people are in this story, with their real personalities. (except for Anubis Turner, who's my OC, and Melvin Dixon and Callum Dixon(who's Alesha's father and brother respectively. While they don't have a good relationship in real life, I don't think it's as bad as I portray the relationship in this story) Melvin's and Callum's personalities is from my own imagination.) Other than that and the existence of BGT and BGMT, this story is pure fiction.

Alesha's POV

I sat curled up in my chair backstage, staring hard at my phone screen. My thumb hovered over the call button. I shut my eyes and sighed. I couldn't. I just couldn't do it.

I turned off my mobile phone and shoved it into my purse.

"Hey Leasha!" I turned and forced a smile when I saw Amanda's cheery face. "You ready for BGMT?"

"Yea," I answered as cheerily as I could.

"Stop it, David! You're annoying, and your fashion taste sucks," Simon snapped as he and David entered the room, bickering playfully. Amanda and I exchanged exasperated smirks. Here comes the bantering boys.

"You're just saying that cause you're jealous of how fabulous I am, Simon! Just admit it!" David playfully slapped Simon's back.

"Amanda, Alesha!" Simon called out, seeing the two of us huddled in a corner. "What do you think?" he asked as if they were judging an act.

"What exactly are you two bickering about?" Amanda questioned, chuckling slightly.

"Well-" David began.

I sneezed three times (very loudly), cutting David off. Amanda, Simon and David looked at me in concern.

"You alright?" Simon asked me.

"Yea," I answered, sniffing. "It's just allergies."

"So the rain didn't catch you then?" Amanda challenged.

"No," I lied.

"Uh-huh... Right..." David said sarcastically.  The three of them looked at me skeptically.

"Hey judges, we're on for Britain's Got More Talent in three more minutes!" The announcement saved me from answering once again.

"Let's go," I suggested, standing up suddenly. I don't know why, but imaginary spirals seem to form in front of my eyes. I stumbled backwards, but Amanda and David caught me.

"You sure you okay?" David asked.

"Yes!" I insisted, regaining my balance. My head felt heavier though, and I felt colder than usual too. I assured myself it was nothing and walked out of the room. I was staggering slightly as my head felt really heavy.

I heard Amanda quicken her pace until she was walking evenly beside me. To balance myself, I slipped my hand into hers. Thankfully, she didn't look at me in confusion. Instead, she squeezed my hand comfortingly and gave me a smile. Together, the two of us made our way to our seats, Simon and David trailing behind us.

Amanda's POV

I felt Alesha slip her hand into mine. I glanced at her. She looked really tired, as if she was sick.

"All we can do is be there for emotional support." Simon's words from last night floated back into my mind. Instinctively, I squeezed Alesha's hand in an attempt to comfort and steady her. It seemed to have worked. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Alesha glance at me. I turned my head slightly towards her and smiled.

We sat down at our seats, Simon and David also taking their seats at opposite ends of the panel. Alesha finally let go of my hand and I loosened my grip on it. She takes her hand out of mine and places it on the table in front of her. I could sense both Simon and David staring at Alesha.

Alesha scowled at them. "Stop staring!" she hissed uncharacteristically.

Simon, David and I stared at her in surprise. Alesha seemed to have realised what she had said and muttered a quick sorry.

"Hey everybody!" Stephen Mulhern exclaimed with his usual cheerfulness. "Welcome to Britain's Got More Talent on ITV 2 with our four judges - David Walliams, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell!"

Each of us waved as our name was called. As usual we answered questions from our fans before going on to play the game of the night - Who Said What - but before the game could commence, Stephen pointed out, "Oh look! Alesha's fallen asleep! Anyone got a marker?"

Alarmed, I turned to look at Alesha. I placed a hand on Alesha and shook her gently. "Leash! Leash! Wake up!" I tried, but she was still asleep.

"Alesha!" I raised my voice, shaking her harder.

David also put a hand on her other shoulder, which was rising and falling quickly as she breathed. "Her breathing seems so shallow!"

Simon leaned over to look at his fellow judge. "Amanda, feel her forehead. She might have a fever!"

I felt her forehead. Sure enough, she was burning. I couldn't help but gasp. "Oh god, she's burning up!"

Simon stood up. "Cut the camera!" he ordered.

I bit my lip. Alesha, Alesha, why did you insist you were okay?

Alesha's POV

"We have Jake with us tonight. How are you Jake?" Stephen's voice rang out, loud and clear

"Fine," the boy on the screen answered.

For some reason, my head felt as heavy as lead. Nausea swirled in my head.

"Who's your question for, Jake?" Stephen asked.

I don't know what the boy answered next; I was too concentrated on trying not to throw up.

I heard Amanda say something to the boy and guessed the boy had asked Amanda a question.

"No, don't," I tried to prevent myself. "Don't black out now..."

But it was too late. I felt myself slipping slowly away into unconsciousness...
