Last night was a blur but the photos show it was fun. Maze can't help to stare at Heart and see how happy she is now. She posted the photo on Facebook and tagged her friends.

Play time with Snuggle before she kissed her goodbye. Driving to Jewels street a sudden lady jumped over the car. Maze was very shocked assuming it was a crazy person. But looking closely, it was just Jewel. She jumped inside the car  and was laughing loudly as she copy Maze's reaction.

Back at the mall where they first met gave Maze a nostalgic feeling. Looking at this girl beside her now whom a few weeks before was just a stranger. Watching her talk and listening to her laugh has been the highlight of her days. Maze brought her to an Italian Restaurant.  They ordered pasta, pizza, gelato and turtle cheesecake. They sat opposite to each other and stared at each other's eyes. "I want to know more about you Jewel. What are your hobbies? What color do you like? What makes you smile?" "Slambook questions?" Jewel laughed loudly and stared at Maze's eyes with a cute smile. "...my hobbies are playing basketball and shopping for make-up. I like pink a lot and desserts make me smile." "Basketball and make-up? Interesting mix, you're really an interesting person. What are your plans after college?" "Hmmmm that's six months from now. Well the plan is for me to go to the US and be with my family. They just let me finish my studies here." Maze was shocked with this new information. She prefers not to let any emotions in if it means getting hurt in the end. Choosing not to start anything if it shows no future. The gaze of Jewel makes her heart beat fast and at this moment everything felt like it was in slow motion again. Dessert finally came and Jewel was gushing over it. She took a spoon full of Gelato and a piece of the turtle cheesecake. Her beautiful eyes widen as she smiles excitedly. Maze is watching her enjoy the dessert as she still tries to figure out this new feeling of hers. After dinner they walked around the mall, browsing for makeup. Then they grabbed lemonade for drinks and sat in the mall garden. Maze took a sip of the fresh lemonade and it was really sour. Jewel laughed seeing her reaction and took a sip of hers too. "Maze, thank you for the delicious dinner. The Turtle Cheesecake is to die for! I really enjoyed tonight with you." "I'm happy to hear that." "Well it's getting late, time for us to go home now." In the car, they gave each other smiles and silent stares. Maze's heart beat faster and faster with the sight of Jewel. It felt exhilarating for her and the fear of rejection did not matter anymore. "Jewel, can you tell if someone likes you?" "Usually, I'm good with that." "So by now you know that I like you a lot?" Jewel gave her a stare as Maze's try to focus on driving. "I didn't want to assume. Maybe you like me as a friend." Maze felt a knock on her stomach as she can see where this conversation is going. Awkward silence in the car while Maze tries to contemplate on backing off. Take the hint and avoid rejection. But tonight felt different, this girl sitting beside her is special. They arrived in front of Jewel's house and sat quietly inside the car. Maze looks Jewel in the eye and hold her hand. "I'm serious. I do like you a lot and I'm wondering if you like me too?" Jewel remained quiet and just looked Maze in the eyes. "Jewel, can you see yourself being in a relationship with me?" "Don't you think this is too fast? We just met Maze and your feelings may be deceiving you." "I've been on dates and this with you is different. You make my heart beat so fast with just your stare. I really like you a lot and I'll be blunt to ask if you can like me too?" Awkward silence and followed by a deep sigh. Jewel looks Maze in the eyes uttering the words. "Let's just be friends." Maze let go of her hand as Jewel walked out the car. It was a long and sad drive home for Maze. As she curls up in her bed with her hand on her chest. The aching feeling of rejection cuts her deep. Snuggle crawled into her bed and cuddled to sleep.
