"Return the egg, then get back here." That was String Gummy's exact orders. Coffee Candy had a device in her pocket which was already preset to send her back to her timeline. But, she certainly wasn't in any dragon lair. At least, she thought so, judging by the cookie who was excitedly making static noises in front of her. Judging by their eyes, she thought they were excited, at least. She looked around where she'd ended up, only seeing what looked like some sort of library of music boxes. That's what it seemed like, judging by the environment around her. She was drawn back to the other cookie in the room by them pointing at the egg. "Oh! I came here to return this egg! Some really bad cookies got a hold of it, but my coworkers got it back! Then they thought I should return it, so here I am!" She explained. The cookie seemed to light up at this, then held up a hand, almost like saying 'wait here." Then a large metallic leg (similar to a spider, Coffee Candy thought) extended out of their body, and they seemed to glide along the shelves and deeper into the library.

Coffee Candy was aware the cookie had told her to wait, (well not really told her, but you get her point!) but she was on a bit of a time limit! If she stayed here too long, the timeline would go all out of whack! She went the opposite direction of where the cookie had gone, and it wasn't long until she found her way out.

Clockwork glided along the slider in the shelves, until she made it back to where the cookie had been. She hopped down, her metallic leg going back inside her, but she stopped.

...Where'd the cookie go? She looked around, confused. Didn't she tell the cookie to wait for her? She looked down at the Memory Capsule in her hands. It was the Winterberry Dragon's memory of watching their little sibling's egg get stolen. Sure, it was what some would call... 'traumatic', but she thought seeing the memory of one of the egg's family members would help!

...Oh well, not much she could do now. Her metallic leg extended back out, grabbing on the slider as she went to put the Memory Capsule back where she'd gotten it.

"Is this your egg?"

The cookie Coffee Candy was currently asking that question to had seemed almost like stone to her, and she did notice the tiny wings from his back, so she thought maybe it was him. The Cake Hound and Cream Wolf companions with him sniffed the egg, as he shook his head. "Nuh-uh! Not mine! Friends like though, can we eat?" He asked with an oblivious smile, and Coffee Candy gasped while she held the egg away. "No! No, you can't eat it! I have to return this to its parent!" (She wasn't sure how dragon reproduction worked here, so she couldn't automatically assume the parent's gender.)

"Oh, okay." The cookie frowned slightly, but seemed to pipe up quickly. "Want to spend time with me and friends?" He asked, but Coffee Candy shook her head. "Thanks, but no thanks! I have a job to do!" She politely rejected, and the cookie seemed to understand. "Okay! Bye-bye friend, I hope you find egg... what word again?"

"Parent!" She called after him as she ran off.

"Yes! Parent! Good luck finding parent, friend!"

She wasn't sure why he called her friend, even though they'd just met 5 minutes ago. But she didn't really mind.

"Is this your egg?"

The black eyed cookie looked at the egg in Coffee Candy's arms, and shrugged. "The Fruit Fae don't lay eggs to my knowledge. And trust me, being one myself, my knowledge is valuable!" She then started laughing, to Coffee Candy's confusion. Mostly because she didn't understand what was so funny. "So... You're not a dragon, then?"

"What? No, what gave you that impression?" The 'Fruit Fae' raised a brow at her, genuinely seeming curious. "I dunno, I'm just trying to find this egg's parent..." Coffee Candy sighed, slightly lowering her shoulders. "Well if you're looking for a dragon, then the forest is where you wanna be, for sure!"

"Really?" Coffee Candy lit up. Finally, a lead! "Yeah! The tales of the Dark Green Dragon are infamous among Fruit Fae! It's always said that the forest is their domain, so even if they aren't the exact parent, they should at least be able to help!" The Fruit Fae happily suggested. "Thank you! This is so helpful!" Coffee Candy thanked the Fruit Fae, who simply nodded. "Mhm! Good luck finding the parent!"

She ran off, waving to the Fruit Fae the whole time.

Strangely, the deeper in the woods Coffee Candy got, the warmer the egg was. She took this as a good sign. But there was one mild issue.

Coffee Candy was now lost.
