"Hey, kid! Wake up!" A new voice called out to me; it sounded unfamiliar; I groaned, "Ugh, my head" I slowly woke up and saw an old man staring at me. "W-who are you?" I asked, confused, my head spinning; matt then helped me up. "Dude, the 'thing' happened again", the old man stared at us. "What 'thing' are you talking about?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.

We both looked at each other, and Matt lied "uh, nothing, don't worry; anyway, who are you?" he asked as the man said, "I was one of the lawyers working on the Hangman case, my name is Fredrick Carlyle" he said as we shook his hand, "so do you know anything about the case, or do you know the same information we know" I asked rubbing my head.

Fredrick was a tall man with golden brown skin, Silver hair, and a short-length beard, and he wore a dark blue suit, a black tie, and Oxford Shoes; he then scratched his head and sighed deeply.

"yes, I know more about the case, and I looked into the whole town, and it seems the mayor himself has accusations from his past," Fredrick said with a sigh; we then left for the sheriff's department, updated monty on what was going on.

"Shit...this situation is getting worse", Monty muttered, rubbing his eyes.

"Yes, I know it is getting worse, but we can't rule anyone out," Fredrick said with a small sigh. "I did look into the mayor's past, and he has a deranged past, along with being in a mental institution after something bad happened in prison."

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at Fredrick "wait, he did jail time? but how the fuck is he the mayor."

"A lot of bribes and threats", Fredrick explained, looking over the reports scattered across the desks, filled with accounts of bribery and threats.

"It's a fucking mess," Matt said with a sigh as we all nodded while looking into this whole mess.

We kept looking into this whole mess, but it just became a fucking maze of twists and turns. We couldn't find our way out.

"I hope we do find something," Monty said. "I don't want anyone else dying in our town."

We all got determined and kept trying to work the case, but the visions inside my brain rattled inside me; I couldn't shake the feeling from them, as if there was something they weren't telling me, but I was determined to figure it out with my friends to make sure it never happens again.

I was determined to stop these nightmares, but the toll it was taking on me was terrible, but I didn't care; I just wanted to get the fuck out of this godforsaken town of hell and shit. No matter what the cost.

We kept looking into everything, sighing when we found nothing, but we were brave enough to actually figure this out so we could get on with our fucking lives, just being normal. The question of being ordinary lingered in my mind; what was normal now? I knew, I was not expected to be normal; I was different. Very different.
