The Hero and the Vigilante (a 2nd gen BNHA story)

Chapter one: Cheaters

"Try to keep up!" Akami called, running in the streets. Right behind them was Dakai, who was letting the other be in front for now. "I'm catching up!" he shoots back and starts going a little faster to be running right next to the other to make them fret. Akami's eyes widened as they tried to go faster, but not by much. They look ahead and see their finish line, Akami's house.

The 4 year olds had been playing in Dakai house for around 2 hours and it was almost dinner time so they needed to go home. Akami offered up a proposition, "Why don't we race to my house! I bet I'll beat you~" They teased him. So they ran, Denki, behind them, making sure the kids didn't get hurt and arrived safely.

They passed in between the two cars in the driveway. Aunty Mina's here? Dakai thought, but it didn't linger because he had to focus on the race. Akami stepped on the porch and threw their hands in the air, almost hitting Dakai that only lost by a hair. "I win! I win! I told you I would." they cheered. Dakai smiled, "Good job." The other settled down and caught their breath, a smile also on their face. Kami came up behind them, "Good job Akami, you guys were really fast." He laughed and messed up both of their hair. "Heyy-" Dakai said, trying to fix the mess while Akami laughed at him. "Is papa home?" they asked Denki. "I don't think so, but it looks like your dad and Aunty Mina are here." He said as he opened the door for the two and gently shut it. They walked in, going straight to the kitchen to get some water. Denki gave them two cups and then heard something in the living room. Mina and Eijiro are probably chatting. He thought.

Denki walked into the room where his friends were and saw them on the couch.

"What the fuck!" Denki basically yelled.

The two were tangled up together, and their lips red as they had been making out. "Denki! It's not what it looks like." Eijiro said, quickly getting off Mina. "What's happening?" "Dad, why did you say a bad word?" The two children came in, the half full cups in their hands. Akami stood frozen, putting the pieces together. "Dad?" Tears started to swell in their eyes and Dakai took a protective stance in front of them. Ejiro came closer to them. "Sweety, loo-" "No! Y-you cheated on papa. You ch-cheated on m-me and papa." tears were flowing freely and when the red head tried to get closer again, Dakai started to growl. A deep growl that no one expected. His teeth sharpened, his eyes turned into a pool of black, and his shoulder blades started to hurt. A slight whimper came through before going back to growling.

"Dakai, calm down. I'll handle this." Denki came over and placed a hand on his shoulder. Instead of a "calming effect", he nipped at him before pulling back realizing who it was. The growling ceased, but he didn't step away from the crying child (c.c. from fnaf anyone?) "Handle your child better!" Eijiro said. "You have no room to talk here, you little sh-... *sigh* nevermind. I'm calling katsuki." "Fine, it'll be better to get it over with." "And Mina," Denki started, "I'm disappointed in you." A moment of guilt hit her heart, but she just waved it off and rolled her eyes at him. Just the sounds of Dakai comforting Akami and a phone ringing was left.

(when Kat gets home)

Rain banged on the window, demanding to be let in. The door opened, the roaring of the rain easily heard, and then was slammed shut, Kat was in the house. The cheaters were in the living room, looked over by Kami. Shinsou had already come before the rain to take the children to their house for a while. Footsteps were coming from the hallway to the room and the air was becoming thicker than it had been before.

Katsuki stood there, his platform boots wet and his clothes almost soaked. His head was down, looking at the floor to hide his puffy red eyes, and the frown on his face wavered into something of a pained look, then back. "Eijiro." He said, monotone. "Katsuki." He replied back. His head finally came up, and he looked at the other with a look that was icy and cold. "We're getting a divorce, and I want you out by the morning." "You can't do that, this is my house and she's my child." "They... its they." "Whatever! She's to young to even know. Doesn't even have her quirk yet." "Leave... now. I dont want you in this house with me or my child" "thats fucking bullshit!" Eijiro yelled. "I'll be back, this is my house.." He said before walking out, slamming the door on the way out.

Katsuki looked around the room, and felt sick. "I can't stay here, not right now." "You know my house is always open." He nodded his head, not facing Denki for fear he would see him crying. Then he just dropped down, hugging his knees and slightly started crying. "Oh gosh." Denki came over to him and hugged him. "It's gonna be ok man." "Fuck, why does it h-hurt so much..."

Dakai and Akami sit at the table, both have a plate of mac n cheese and chicken nuggets. Neither of them were eating though. They sat there in silence. The front door opened and their eyes locked for a second before they started rushing towards the door. When Akami saw their papa, they ran up to him and latched their arms around his neck. "Papa!" they said. "It's ok babe. It's all going to be ok." and he kissed their forehead. "By the way, we're gonna stay here for a little bit." "ok... hey papa?" "yes?" Katsuki questioned. "W-why did dad do that, is it my fault?"

Katsuki looked surprised, then brought his head up to look them in the eyes, "No,its not your fault at all. Its his fault for being a dummy and guess what. He will be missing out on you because you're amazing and if he'd had seen that then he wouldn't have done what he did." "promise?" He nodded, "I promise."

That night Katsuki stayed in Denki's and Shinso's guest room. Little sleep came to him that night, and his mind was working until it was just too tired to think. Akami stayed with Dakai in his room. They had set up their sleeping bags and were watching a movie until they had moved to his bed and drifted off to sleep cuddling in each other's arms.
