It's been a month since Taehyun has been sent to the rehabilitation center, but they still didn't send him back to his parents because he barely shows signs of improvement.
They gave him counseling and medicine for his addiction. He still has hallucinations, but it's getting better compared to his first week at the rehabilitation center. And his mother weekly visits him to check his condition.
While Taehyun is in his room, laying down on the white mattress, he didn't bother to look at the door even though he heard it open.
“Taehyun, your mother is here to visit you.”
When he heard that, he looked at them and saw his mother.
“Mom” Taehyun mumbled.
“How are you, Taehyun?” His mother asked him while looking at him.
“When are you going to get me out of here, Mom? I don't want to be here. Please don't leave me alone here.” Taehyun responded by asking.
“You need to recover first, Taehyun, so we can go back.” His mother told him.
“I'm sorry, Mom, please let's go home, I-I promise, I will change, take me with you. I'm scared, those monsters will take me away. Save me, mom, please don't let them take me.” Taehyun cried.
His mother held his hands and looked at him with teary eyes.
“I'm so sorry too, Taehyun, I'm just doing what will be better for you. I hope you understand my intention.” His mother said, sadly, she can't help but pity her son's situation.
She doesn't like this at all, but she will do anything for her son.
“Why don't you bring me with you, Mom? Are you tired of me too? Did you give up on me?” Taehyun inquired while he is sobbing.
“No, of course not, I will never get tired of you, you are my son.” His mother clarified.
“Then, why? Why did you put me in here? Why didn't you stop them?” Taehyun cried.
“It's because I know this place will be the best for you, Taehyun. If you stayed outside, you will get worse. Please, don't hate me for doing this. I'm your mother and I care for you. I rather want to see you in this place than in jail.” His mother explained.
“Mom, will you take me out of here if I get to recover? You won't let me be rotten here, right?” Taehyun asked.
“Yes, I promise, once you are fine, I will immediately get you out of here.” His mother promised.
Taehyun stands up from the bed he was sitting on and hugged his mother tightly.
“Thank you, thank you, Mom, I'm sorry if I become a burden to you. I'm sorry if I'm not the best son for you. I'm so sorry for everything, please don't give up on me, I will change, I promise, I will.” Taehyun sobbed on his mother's shoulder.
“Don't worry, Mom will wait for you. I will always be here for you. Mom forgives you already, I'm sure you will be fine, Taehyun.” His mother hugged him back and comforted him.
Taehyun snuggled on her, feeling so safe in her embrace. It's been a while since he felt his mother's hug and for him, this comforted him.
