Taehyun was thrown into the room once they arrived at the rehabilitation center. Tears kept falling from his eyes and immediately went to the corner while hugging his knees to his chest.
He is obviously high due to the drugs he used earlier. Furthermore, he is not in his right sense right now and seems to be his mindset in the other “world”.
He kept wailing about monsters, which are referring to the nurses who took him away from his room.
“P-please, M-mom, save me” Taehyun mumbled while covering his ears with his hands to stop those voices ringing in his head.
Hoping his mother would come and save him. Not knowing that he will be better in the rehabilitation center to be able to heal because if he stays in his parent's house, his mother won't able to take care of him.
The reason he got addicted to drugs was because of the pressure he felt with his family, as his parents were known as successful business couples with their smart son and bad influence friends. It started taking a little when he is high school, but since then, the small amounts became huge when he is a senior high school.
Spoiled Taehyun abused his parent's kindness, often going to parties, drinking hefty amounts of alcohol, and using drugs as his escape from his stressful days as a student. It got unnoticed throughout the entire year.
His mother just notices something was off when he told them that he was going to stop studying to become independent. And he usually went drunk while intoxicated.
His addiction got worse when he supplies drugs to random people who ordered from him with help of Soobin who is also an addict. He became the supplier of drugs.
His mother's suspicion grew more when he kept buying expensive stuff that he won't use and stacking them in his room. Also, some of his money goes to paraphernalia he uses.
He didn't know that his mother found out before he got caught by his mother because the police went to their home after Taehyun was seen supplying drugs in one of their entrapment operations to catch drug users.
The reason he didn't get arrested at that time was that his mother begged his father to do something, so the police won't arrest him. She promised that she will do anything for Taehyun to stop him from using drugs. So, his father agreed to her and the police didn't arrest him.
It worked because of his father's influence—corruption.
He doesn't know about that, but his mother knew he seriously needs help because nothing works for him. And she believed that rehabilitation will be able to help him recover from his addiction.
“I'm sorry, forgive me, Mom, I'm so sorry.” Taehyun cried even though his mother wasn't near him.
He can't help but call his mother, she's the only person who never gets tired of him.
“Mom, please come here, save me.”
Taehyun tightly hugged his knees while crying so hard, scared of the monsters in his hallucination.
