"I don't know why we're here" Matt complained as we stood outside of the screening room, Chris rolled his eyes and shoved a handful of popcorn in his mouth "Because, Nick and y/n wouldn't shut up about it" Chris said with a mouth full of popcorn.
Nick backhanded Chris's arm "you're eating all the popcorn and we haven't even walked to the fucking room yet" Chris pulled his arm back, creating a fist with his hand "Nick, I swear to God" he said through gritted teeth.
I couldn't help but let out a chuckle and Matt pulled Chris' arm back down "calm down" he mumbled. I looked around the lobby, noticing a photo booth across the room. "Matt?" I asked and they all looked towards me "yeah?" I smiled "can we take pictures in the booth, like all of us?" I asked "We're for sure not all going to fit in there" Nick said shaking his head.
Matt ignored Nick's comment "yeah that'd be really cool" he replied. Nick sighed to which Chris replied with "We'll make it work"
Matt, Chris and I rushed to the photo booth with Nick slowly following behind. Matt got in first, me beside him, Chris beside me and Nick squeezed in the back we all took a bunch of photos and separated the pictures between us evenly. "More people are coming in, we're gonna be late" Nick said and grabbed my hand pulling me along with him as he walked to the entrance. I quickly grabbed the end of Matt's sweater sleeve and pulled him with Nick and I, Chris jokingly grabbed Matt's other hand and we all dragged each other into the room.
We all sat mid row even though I wanted to sit in the back, I clearly lost that vote. We were directly in the middle of the room. The row went like this; Nick on my right, Matt on my left and Chris on the end.
The popcorn bucket was already half empty by the time the movie had started, at first it was just Chris eating all the popcorn but the longer we waited the more impatient we got and we all chipped in. The movie finally started, the opening screen popped up after what felt like forever. We were watching a new horror movie, Nick and I were really excited to go see it but it took some convincing for Matt and Chris. Matt said the trailer looked dumb and Chris simply said he didn't like these kind of movies, but I talked them into it. I explained it wasn't about the movie necessarily, it was about the experience of doing something memorable with all of us.
The plot of the movie was actually horrible but it was full of gore and jump scares so I guess it was something. Matt jumped "fuck. That wasn't even scary what the hell" he mumbled to himself "here, let's go get a refill" I whispered to which he nodded "be right back" I whispered to Nick and Matt and I walked out with the popcorn bucket "you ok?" I asked once we made it to the lobby "yeah, that movie sucks though" he said, picking at his nails. I laughed a little "it really does"
he stopped walking for a second "what's wrong?" I asked, confused "can we take a few more pictures, just us?" He asked as he looked towards the photo booth, I smiled "yeah of course" I sat the bucket down and we walked back to the photo booth.

After a while we went back into the screening room "you guys took twenty five years to get popcorn" Chris commented "shut the fuck up" Nick said trying to pay attention to the movie
