'So, how do I know that your not some serial killer? ' Violet inquired, eyebrows narrowed, trying to hide the smile on her face.
Tyler had finished cleaning up, and was just locking up the coffee shop.
'You don't, for all you know, I could be some mass murderer' He said, with a goofy grin.
'That just makes it all the more fun' She giggled. 'I think I'll take my chances.'
Tyler tucked his key into his pocket, and they started walking down the street towards his car. His curly hair had already gone slightly flat, and he was shivering from the rain.
'But how do I know your not a serial killer?' He asked. She stopped to think for a second.
'How many murders would it take to be classed as a serial killer?' She said.
'Umm..... 3 maybe?'
'Your good then. I'm not a serial killer' She gave him a smile. You'd think that would be the thing to scare Tyler off. But no. Not at all. He was intrigued.

They reached his a car, and Violet pulled open the side car door. She slid onto the seat, cliping in the seat belt. She smiled when she saw the collection of albums sprawled across the dash board. Queen, the beatles, the smiths, the cure, David Bowie. Some of Violets all time favs.
'who's your favourite?' she said, clasping different albums in each hand. Tyler was almost taken aback by her sudden interest. He smiled when he noticed the way her eyes had lit up, she didn't seem so shy anymore.
'Oh, umm, good question...' he said, scanning over the albums. 'it's pretty close between the smiths and David Bowie.'
' I love the smiths!' she squealed.
'they are good' he grinned.
She pushed the button on the CD player, paint it black by the rolling stones began to play.
' A rolling stones and a beatles fan?' she picked up abbey road. 'scandal'.
He laughed, as he started the engine, turning up the volume. He watched the way she mouthed the lyrics, nodding her head to the beat.
'Well which are you? Beatles or Rolling stones?'
'Rolling stones, obliviously' She rolled her eyes jokingly.
'No complaints there' He laughed.

They pulled up at the school gates, rain still pouring. Violet sighed, looking up at the majestic, castle like building, the outline barely visible in the darkness.
'Thanks for the ride, I really appreciate it' She said with a smile, cheeks flushed.
'Its no problem, wouldn't have been fair to let you walk back with this weather' He said, putting his hands in his pockets.
'Is there any way I can return the favour?' She questions. He paused for a second, to think.
'You could, maybe.. give me your number?' He almost seemed shy, nervous.
'Sure'. His face softened. Grinning, he pulled his phone out his pocket, which he had been gripping nervously, waiting for the right time to ask.
She took the phone in her trembling hands and typed in the digits. God, I must look like a tomato. She handed it back, the tips of her finger gently brushed against his.
Tyler looked at the screen, to see her name typed up above her number. 'Vi :)'
'I'd best get going. See you again soon?' She asked. He nodded, smiling back at her.
'See you' He said. 'And don't forget your blazer'. She laughed, pulling the blazer closer to her chest. She pulled open the side door, sliding out the car.

Violet climbed one of the many winding staircases in nevermore academy. The halls were quiet, with most people up in their dorms. She was still damp from the rain, and a warm bath was the first thing on her mind. Maybe the second thing.

It was pretty out of character for her to talk to people she didn't know. It was very out of character to get in a strangers car, and give them her number. But it felt different. Not normal. She actually cared.

She pulled her wet hair to one side, catching the collar of the shirt she was wearing. His shirt. She smiled. It gave her another reason to see him again.

She reached the top of the stairs leading to ophelia hall, running into Miss Thornhill.
'Evening, Violet' She said with a wide, toothy grin. 'How was therapy?'
'It was fine' She smiled.
'I'm guessing therapy wasn't what got you smiling like that, was it?' She said, eyebrows raised.
Violet shrugged, moving past her to get to her dorm.
No, it really wasn't.
