Aibeleen had a bad upbringing, upbringing that definitely left a scar on how she viewed and treated Ruel.

Both equally as shitty.

Aibeleen had a bad relationship with her mother. Her mother was negligent, and even the word negligent is an understatement. On the other hand, Aibeleen and her dad had a good relationship. They're relationship wasn't always good tho, her dad wouldn't be nice when she was little, when I say nice you know what I mean. Aibeleens dad was forgiven over time, when Aibeleen started to really realize where he came from. Both were completely neglected by Aibeleens mom, and they were basically the black sheep's of the family .

Ruel had a different upbringing, her mom and dad were still married. Ruel grew up in a nice house, with little to no financial problems. That doesn't mean she wasn't neglected tho.

she did have issues, constantly getting her heart broken bc she was too needy was one of them.

Ruel never rlly cared about the neglecting behavior, in fact Aibeleen cared more about it then her.

Ruel struggled with depression, and other stuff that she doesn't like talking about.

She had a hard time understanding Aibeleen and her issues.

Both found something they rlly liked tho, music.

Aibeleen liked every shade of red .
Ruel liked green, specifically Forest Green.

They were both born in the same country, and studied in the same middle school.

That's were they meet.

Aibeleen rlly liked Ruel and Vice versa .

She was always trying to approach Aibeleen and Aibeleen just ignored.

Which also brought issues with them now andddd it was one of their usual discussions.

Ruel wasn't that nice to Aibeleen, she would always used the excuse of what happened in middle school to excuse her actions in present time.

And Aibeleen didn't know what to do anymore, she had apologized 100 times .

Ruel would forgive, but she wouldn't forget. And Aibeleen was all for that, but she wasn't all for the shitty treatment. Aibeleen didn't understand why ruel would date her after what happened if she hated her so much.

It would be a constant thought.

And Ruel? She was horrible at dealing with insecurities, extremely bad.

Aibeleen was a lot more aware and much more of a handler when it came to Ruels insecurities.

They were polar opposites in a lot of ways

And everyone knows that opposites attract.
