I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off once again. This time I had to wake up already because I needed to get ready. Ready for what? My first day in a public school. But there's an issue. I'm a witch and those are banned in my country.
You see. I'm not from this world. I was born in the Kingdom of Everia. But when I was around 6 an evil witch took over the throne and destroyed our kingdom. Not many people and creatures managed to escape through portals. My parents unfortunately didn't. Though my mom gave me a moon (🌙) necklace to protect me in the human world. I was adopted by a lady later on. She's my mother's sister so she knows about my abilities and all.
My actual name isn't Nova. It's actually Aruna which means Moon Love. My new name means something "new" that's why I picked it.
Rumour has it that the evil witch actually faked the destruction of our kingdom. That's why I need to go back and save it. But I can't just go now. I need to find people to help me with that. I've read that some people like me are in the school I'm going into. Also we're called the Enchantma.
Enchantma are people/species/creatures who possess special powers and stuff like that. For example: witches , demons , Wolves, elfs, fairies,ghosts etc.
Enough explanation. I need to get ready. The school sent me their uniform a week ago. It's very pretty actually and comfortable too. Also I'm taking of my 2 necklaces, 1 bracelet and one anklet. For protection of course. So I won't accidentally use magic.

When I was done with all my things I went downstairs. My auntie Cyra was waiting for me there.
"Good morning Nova , are you ready ?" "Yeah ..but im still nervous about my abilities. I mean what if I accidentally cast a spell??" "Don't worry. Your protective jewelry will help you with that and besides I think the school is somehow protected from spells, also here's your breakfast." "You might be right and thanks." "Make sure to make some friends. You don't need like a million , just some that you feel comfortable around." "Yeah I'm looking forward to that. I also took my tarot cards incase I get bored so I could ask someone if they want to get their future predicted and stuff." "Oooo that's lovely, I'm sure someone would love to do that." "Same here ,also...what's the time?" "It's .....6:47" "Ohh I gotta go. I can't miss the train." "Oh yeah you're right. See you lattteerr then. Have fun !" "Thanks ! Byeee !" I grabbed my backpack and shoes and quickly ran to the train station. Thankfully I made it on time.
On the train I was bored so I read a book about magic things and listened to music. The scenery was beautiful. There were forests almost everywhere. I was very excited.
When i got off the train i smelled a really weird smell. *The smell of the city of course* Since me and my auntie live in a village near the city. When I made It to school , I saw plenty of students going in as well. Looking at them I tried to find someone who could be friendly. No luck at all. *Maybe I'll find someone in my class* I thought to myself.
Walking into the building I smelled the scent of old books. The college's building looked old so that might be why. I checked the paper with information to see where my class was. It was on the 2nd floor. When i entered the class it wasn't filled with students yet. There were only a few people at the time. I sat in the very back next to the windows. The view from there was nice.
Some time later more students arrived and a girl came to sit next to me. She had light brown hair and green eyes. "Hi!" She said. "Oh hello." I replied "Can I sit here ?" "Of course." She sat down and immediately asked me. "What's your name ?" "Uhh it's Nova." "What a beautiful name! Mine's Eliza." "Nice to meet you." "Nice to meet you too Nova. I really hope we could be friends !" "Yeah same." "Great! Can i have your phone number.I know I'm being too rushy but I really need someone to talk to cuz I'm really nervous" "Of course , here and no need to apologize it's all fine." *wow she's so straightforward I like this girl* "Thanks. I'll call you so you can save my number aswell." "Okay."
Time has passed and we got to know each other. I've found out she loves to draw and she's an extrovert. She was really fun actually.
*Bell rings*
"Ohhhh the class is about to start I'm very excited!!" "Same I wonder what teachers we'll have." A few minutes pass and a teacher comes in.
"Hello students. I'm your class teacher Ms. Bellflower. I love to welcome you all here. I hope you will enjoy your stay and all the studying and everything that we do here. We're really glad to have you all here. Also your schedules are in the school's app. You better go download it right away , but before we get into anything important. Remember this rule. No Enchantma allowed in this school! If you see anyone use magic of any kind , Report them immediately! After that we will have to kick them out. Simply because they're dangerous. If you understood that then it's perfect! Now onto the subjects.."
The teachers continues to talk about subjects while I read a book to pass the time. The bell rings and I go outside to sit on the bench. Eliza finds me. "Hi I've been searching for you all over the school." "I'm sorry I just went outside to have some peace and quiet while reading." "Oh nice!" "Hmmm...do you want me to read your future from tarot cards?" "Tarot cards? You can do that!? Yes I would love to!" "Okay let me grab them." I search in my bag until I come across a small box where the cards are. Okay here let me mix the deck and you'll pick 3 cards." "Okay." Eliza says as I mix the cards. "Pick" I say. She picks three and I start to read from them.
After.....
"Wow my future will be great !" "I agree but don't forget, these don't have to exactly predict your entire future. Your future depends on your choices and things you do. "You're right. I'll try to have a great future!" "I hope you will." "Same eheh" "I think I'll go to the library now." "Why ? Libraries are booooring." "I like the smell of books and I read them all the time so." " right." "Alright so. Where will you go?" "I'll go to the art class to get some supplies y'know." "Yep. So see you in class." "Yeah see you!"
When I was walking to the library a girl stopped me. "Hey umm can I talk to you for a minute ?" "Oh sure." She took my hand and we went into the attic.
"Listen I know you're one of the Enchantma. Because ....I am one too." "What!?" "Shhhh they might hear us. Well I'm a fairy you know." "No way. But how do you know that I'm also an Enchantma??" "Because fairies and pixies can see your aura. You're a witch right?" "Yeah. I'm impressed , it's my first day here and I already met an Enchantma." "Same for me ,I found out some people here are also Enchantma like us tho really wanted ask. What's your major?" "Psychology." "Awhh man I study vegetation and all that stuff." "Oohh okay." "Yeah hehe isn't it so obvious for a fairy to study that." "Makes sense." "Alright well meet me here at lunch and I'll try and gather other Enchantma." "Okay great I'll try to come." "See you ." "Yep see you."
I went back to class and sat next to Eliza like always.
"Did you got your art supplies?" "Absolutely! There were sooo many things , I grabbed almost everything." "That bag you have there must be very heavy then." "It's so heavy ugh I'm gonna break my arms ." "Should've expected that."
The teacher came and we had some psychology subject.
