Chapter 7

At the station

'Damn, how did I get so many files in so little amount of time. I bet Brad gave me his.' Chris thought as he glared at Brad who was sitting back in his chair relaxing. Chris looked around and saw everybody else glaring at him. 'He probably gave them his too.' Chris thought as Captain Wesker came in. "Why are you doing nothing Brad?" Captain Wesker asked scaring the shit out of Brad to the point he almost fell out of his seat. "That's because I have no work to do." Brad said sitting back in his chair.

"Oh really, what about" Captain Wesker said walking over to Chris's desk and and taking the bottom half of his stack and putting it on Brads desk and doing the same to the others. "This?" Captain Wesker said placing the final stack of papers on his desk. "Didn't think I wouldn't notice you slipping your papers in their stacks." Captain Wesker said walking into his office. Brad looked up from his stack of files to see everybody glaring at him. "What?" Brad asked in a defensive voice. Everybody went back to work and all that could be heard was pencils and pens being dragged across paper.

At 7:45 everybody except for Brad and Captain Wesker were getting ready to leave. Barry walked over to Chris and said "heading to meet the girl from the coffee shop." Brad started to listen in on the conversation. "Yeah, why do you care Barry?" Chris asked giving him a questioned look. "My nephew, who apparently knows her wants to know if she works there." Barry said patting Chris on the back. Chris ignored the comment as Barry left the room leaving only Brad, Captain Wesker, and himself. Barry's comment did remind him to talk to Captain Wesker about letting Lenna stay at the station till he can bring her home.

Chris knocked on Captain Wesker's door to get his attention. "What is it that you want Chris?" Captain Wesker asked not even looking up from the files he was working on. Chris walked in and closed the door so Brad couldn't hear their conversation. "Is it alright if I bring my friend here and have her stay at my desk till my punishment is over and I could drive her home sense it's going to rain tonight and I don't want her getting sick?" Chris asked hopping he would just say yes and not ask questions.

That hope was dashed when Captain Wesker opened his mouth and asked "who is this female friend of yours?" "Could it be the girl from the coffee shop?" He said smiling. Chris had the 'shit' look written across his face, but what surprised Chris is what Captain Wesker said next. " I guess I will allow it." With that he went back to work, "you're dismissed" and with that Chris left and walked out of the station. Captain Wesker smiled as his plan was going perfectly and this made him vary happy. Captain Wesker looked up to see Brad watching Chris leave. 'I'll have to get rid of him first. Hmmm I will give him the same punishment as Chris, Kenneth and Forest. With that he went back to work.
