expunged sat calmly next to the window, alone. the light pitter patter of the rain always calmed them. the 3d world didn't typically get rain like this, so it was nice to get rain while visiting a friend in the 2d realm. expunged patiently waited for someone... maybe even a friend... wait, no. more than that.

the origin eventually curled up into the soft cushions surrounding him, feeling their warm embrace. they softly purred in content, the end of her tail weakly wagging. (hehehe true form expunged with a tail.. because fuck you) the wag of his tail thumped against him from time to time, but he never minded.

a soft knock came from the front door. expunged perked up at the noise, awakening from their dazed slumber. she sluggishly dragged herself over to the door and opened it. there was a smaller yellow man with an umbrella on the porch.

he smiled and greeted them with his classic cat-like smile plastered on his face. "hola! sorry i came home a little later than expected... the rain was quite bad out there." bendu's voice was comforting to expunged. that calming and endearing tone has always been something expunged loved about bendu. expunged groggily moved to the side, letting the man into his own house.

the red, polygonal being laid back down to rest once more. the smaller man laid atop her, murmuring sweet words of affection to him. his words were slightly muffled, his face being practically buried into the others cylindrical chest. expunged's claws snuck their way under bendu's hat, petting and playing with the hair-like tufts of fluff on his head.

"ah, mi amor... can you let go of me for one minute.. i have something for you." bendu's soft voice overlapped with the quiet noises of the rain. expunged grumbled and released him in their tight but not-so-tight grasp. bendu rummaged through the various shopping bags on the counter, eventually finding what he was looking for and grabbing it's designated bag.

he held out the bag to the chaos god, nervously grinning. expunged gently took the bag from his hesitant hands. she stuck her hand in the bag. there was a small box inside the bag. the box was a nice deep, dark red with a slightly velvety texture. they took the top of the box off, revealing a medium-sized ring. the ring was a black color, with little red designs engraved and painted onto it. the designs depicted eyes, similar to that of their true form's.

"it's.... beautiful." they looked at him with gratitude. expunged is not typically one who shows emotion well, but they smiled warmly at him. "ah, uhmmm.... i.. i'm glad you like it. it may not fit right now on your true form with the claws and everything, but you could try i guess." bendu blushed and nervously fidgeted with the ring on his own finger.

in seconds bendu was enveloped in a warm hug. their arms wrapped around his waist and their head lay atop his. the hug lasted for a while, them both enjoying each others warmth. expunged moved, tipping bendu's hat to plant a kiss on his head. he was surprised by this gesture, but gave in to the affection.

the two lay there next to the window, together. listening to the calm rain as they rested. expunged spooned bendu, draping an arm over him.
"yknow... i love you."
"r..really?.."
"yes, you little yellow shit."
