It is not known exactly when the demons made their appearance, simply one day 7 portals opened around the world, portals coming from hell itself, from which numerous beasts came out, which quickly began to decimate the population

To prevent the human race from becoming extinct, the population was divided into sectors, which were sectioned according to socioeconomic level, sectors 1 to 10 belonged to the highest class, sectors 50 to 100 were the middle class and sectors 101 henceforth they belonged to the most marginalized and poor population

The most remote sextors used to have very little population, since they were closer to the portals, causing them to be easy bait for demons, the most central sectors had a large population

The demon tamers had the possibility of attending Helldom academy where they would become demon masters, depending on the division they were, they performed different tasks such as patrolling, escorting or hunting demons.

Divisions 1 to 5 (made up mostly of people of noble blood or with some political power) carried out patrol work in sectors 1 to 10, divisions 5 to 10 made escorts between sextors 11 and 100, and finally Division 11 onwards hunted demons in the farthest sectors

"Make sure you take all your things, I don't want to see you go through that door again" Vanessa told her without even turning to look at her

Y/n did not know about her parents, she only knew that they had left her in front of Vanessa's house when she was just a baby, and Vanessa had taken care of her, had provided her with all the basic needs, even so, she was never a mother or anything like that to Y/n, since it was obvious she wasn't good with affection

Today Y/n had decided to go to Helldom academy, she was just going to say goodbye to Vanessa, since there were not many people in the sector where they lived, and the few she had come to know were already dead

''I don't have things'' Y/n barely had three changes of clothes and a semi-broken backpack

"You better not die out there, I didn't raise someone weak" Vanessa told her

''I won't, I'll come to visit you and I'll bring money'' Y/n assured her

''Yeah, sure'' Vanessa said sarcastically, she didn't think that Y/n would return, who would return having achieved a good life?

''Let's go'' Y/n said to her demon

Surprisingly he followed her, he took small steps, which he alternated with jumps, which was inconvenient for Y/n, since she couldn't go fast due to the rhythm of her demon, and she couldn't carry it in her arms either due to his great weight, which was completely disproportionate to his height

And what was worse, apparently it was a clumsy demon, because from time to time it bumped into and rolled on the ground, so Y/n was forced to lift it so that it could continue taking its small steps

They both reached a river, where Y/n followed the opposite flow of the water, it lead to a tunnel that was half a kilometer away, the only way to get to other sectors or places was through tunnels or sewers, since demons did not usually fit in them. Even so, it was not certain that something was not there, but it was a risk that had to be taken

Y/n took out a map where there were various arrows, some pointed to the left, others to the right and some to the front, they were the indications to reach sector 7, where the Helldom academy was located

It took about 22 hours until they could finally see sunlight, Y/n knew that if she had tamed the renewtaurus instead of this thing, they would have arrived much sooner
