With you.
༺═──────────────═༻

You've been rolling around your bed for what felt like hours trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in. You couldn't receive a good slumber and it bothered you as to why. For what felt like hours, you would get up and roam about the marui your family stayed in--snacking on any available food you could find, trying to find ways to tire your eyes and fall asleep finally but every attempt failed.

So there you were, sitting on the sandy floor as you hugged your knees with one arm whilst your other would have your hand playing with the wet sand. Your eyes would travel to the little waves that met your toes, to the bright and colorful glow of the bioluminescence in the reef, and the dark, enigmatic horizon at the reef's end. You weren't sure how long you've been here by the beach, all you know is that you aren't sleeping any time soon even at this. You sighed, beginning to stand up from sitting by the shore ; wanting to stroll around instead of staring into pure boringness. You dusted the sand off your body first before taking steps forward. You wandered the village shores as you pleased, sure that noone would usually be around at this time to bother you. Your eyes would glance at the waters occasionally. You wanted to swim in the reef, but reluctance pulled you away from the thought.

As you continued your trek, the sound of something splash in the water nearby made you jump as you snapped your head to where you think the noise came from. Your brows were furrowed down once your eyes laid on the circular ripple of waves, heart beating uncontrollably fast due to the sudden scare. You soon discarded the thought, thinking it was just some creature in the water who caused the sound. But you were caught too off guard at this that you hadn't noticed the presence of someone behind you as they grabbed your wrist, turning you around and forcing your hand up. You were startled by this, taking a sudden sharp intake of air as you were spun around to face the person who held your wrist high, which only caused you to frown and your brows to furrow down again. He was dripping wet, signifying that he just came from the water whilst wearing that annoying smirk of his. "What's demon blood doing out here at this time?" he taunted, bringing his face a few centimeters closer to yours--looming over you that looked up at him angrily. You didn't respond to his taunting, only bringing your free hand up to attempt freeing your wrist from his grip--but his hands didn't even budge. "Weak." he laughed at you, commenting on your poor tries to break free from him. This only angered you more, finally resorting to a different route for him to let go of you.

You brought your leg and kicked him by the chest, pushing him back slightly as his grip loosened on you a bit. You took this opportunity of course and yanked you wrist from his hold, and all in a quick second, you pushed him further and down onto the beach floor--wielding the hand blade from around your neck as you did so--, getting on top of him as you pinned one of his arms with your hand, and pointing the sharp edge of your weapon at his jaw. You took him by surprise at all of this. He blinked once and now found his back laying on the ground, being forced down with you above him and the blade you held at his flesh. Your eyes were filled with fury, tail whipping around because of your anger.

The metkayina only stared up at you in return, still taken aback at the results of what happened. To be honest, he barely payed mind to the blade itching to tear his skin ; his mind could only be clouded with admiration. He was staring at your face once again, his heart was beating fast, he underestimated your skills too much. How quickly and swift you were able to execute your moves amazed him, heart quickening its pace the longer he laid there with your over him. The both of you stared at each other for awhile, the whipping of your tail slowing down as the sudden tranquility of the moment washed through.
