"H-hey Makarov," I stuttered and waved my hand.
"What a fine young woman you've become," he complemented. "See, Laxus? That's how a child grows into an adult properly."
"The hell are you talkin' about, Gramps? You know her?"
Makarov nodded at his grandson's comment and grabbed my hand.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, where d'ya think you're going, Keo?" Erik smirked and took my arm.
'Makarov's taking me to Fairy Tail, chill out,' I thought.
'You're thinking about leaving Oracion Seis for these dipshits?' he replied.
'They're not dipshits, you dipshit. Lemme go,' I whined and yanked my arm away. When we turned and looked at Makarov and Laxus, they stood there with the most confused looks on their faces.
"C'mon, let's go check it out."
We walked until we reached the guild hall. It was so noisy I could hear everything from outside. "Come my children. Now that you're back, we can give you the symb-" his eyes fell on my shoulder blade.
"Sorry, Makarov, I can leave them... if you want," I sighed and held Cobra's hand.
'I'm so sorry, you know I am.'
'I know, but it doesn't make this any easier,' he replied.
Makarov grabbed the stamp and pressed it over the OS symbol. The feeling of tiny pinpricks ran through my skin. It must be the sigil removing the other guild mark.
"I'll, uh, go tell the others," Cobra smiles halfheartedly. Before he could leave, I pulled him into a giant hug.
"Don't you worry about me, Erik. I'll be fine," I leaned up and kissed his cheek, "Love you." He squeezed tighter in the hug and kissed my forehead.
"Hah, love you, Keo." And with that, he left to return to the guild that I just betrayed. A few tears started to form but I dried them before they could fall. We had been standing around introducing everyone and I remembered my plans with Laxus.
"Sorry, I gotta go!" I bolted out of the group I was in.
"Aww, but you just got here!"
"I know, Natsu, but I've gotta see Laxus."
I heard Gray mumble something about him being a jerk before I finally got out of the guild hall. I ran as fast as I could to go see the Lighting mage. There he was waiting by the tree. I took in all of his features. The blond hair, the purple shirt, the coat, the spiky headphones, the slash on his eye. He was amazing.
"I'm here," I said faintly. He gave me a look of acknowledgement before sighing.
"What do you want to tell me?" he asked calmly. From what I've heard, it's almost impossible to hear him speak like that.
It's obvious you like him! Go find him.
I could hear Cobra's voice ringing in my ears.
"I-I've been looking for you... for a while," I said. Why do I keep stuttering?! He glared at me with a hint of hesitation.
"Why?"
"I feel... connected to you somehow. I had to find you.. I had to be near you, or something."
It was silent in the area we were in for quite a while. The leaves swirled in the autumn wind. The silence became unbearable, and I jumped him and pinned him to a tree.
"SAY SOMETHING, DAMMIT!"
"Whoa, chill out. I, uh, I guess you can stick around with me. Maybe we can make sense of this 'connection' you feel."
"Yeah," I whispered with a small smile, "I'd like that."
"Don't go gettin' all mushy," he grunted. "And you better be strong or I'm ditchin' you."
We had sat down at the base of the tree. "Silly, I'm a Water Dragon Slayer," I giggled and rested my head on his shoulder. I sat like that for a minute and then I realized what I was doing.
"I apologize." Standing up, I began to walk away when I was suddenly jerked back down. "Hey, that hurt!" I whined childishly.
A small hint of pink dusted his masculine features and he apologized quickly.
"He's never acted like that before," said Natsu to the others that were spying with him.
"It's totally weird," Gray replied.
"AWW THEY'RE SO CUTE TOGETHER!!!"
"Mira! Keep it down, would ya?" Natsu complained.
'You're friends are interested in your relationship with Lightning Bolts, haha,' chuckled a familiar voice in my head. No way, he couldn't have been able to focus his thoughts into mine.
"It's not nice to spy," Cobra pressed at the nosy individuals behind a tree a few yards away.
"What did you do that for?" I asked Laxus.
"I don't want you to leave yet. I've never felt this way about a woman. Who did you say you were again?"
"Laxus Dreyar, I am very disappointed that you don't remember your most awesome childhood friend ever in the history of friends."
"K-Keo..." he stuttered, looking as if his brains were scrambled eggs trying to be uncooked to become raw again. His arms wrapped around me and his precious coat fell to the dirt.
"I missed you too, Lightning Bolts."
