Lisa woke me up bright and early on Saturday morning, at 5:30am. Kill me now. If you havn't noticed, I am NOT a morning person. I had to get to the airport by 7:30am, to catch the 8:30am flight to JFK. Then I have to catch a train to central station, to catch another train to Chenary's train station. Predicting I would get to Chenary by 2:30-3:00 in the afternoon. I got up and took a long shower. I had to feel refreshed for my first day! I got changed into my outfit planned, and got my bags together. I took one last look at my room. I wouldn't be back till the end of next semester, to have a holiday break. I went downstairs, feeling pumped. Lisa was ready to drive me to the airport. I had a bowl of yoghurt, and off we went. I stared at my house while we left. I would miss it. About half an hour later, I got to the airport. I checked in, but it was time to say goodbye to Lisa. I hugged her, and Lisa started to cry, which turned me on. "Awww, Lisa don't cry! I'll see you soon!" I cried, laughing at how cute she was. She just nodded. "Remember to call me as much as you can," she said seriously. I smiled. "Of course! And take good care of the house while I'm gone!" I said laughing! "I will, I will, anyway, you really have to go now, have fun for me," Lisa laughs with me. "Yes, I'll see you soon." I give her one last wave and I go to the waiting area. The flight is called and I give my ticket to the flight attendant. It's a guy, about early twenties, and he is pretty good, with brown hair and blue eyes. He reminded me of Chace Crawford. "Enjoy your flight," he says while winking. I smile at him back, "I sure will try," I say back to him while walking down the tunnel to get to the plane. I take a seat in first class. Of course my parents wouldn't let me rot in economy. I get comfy for the 4 and a half hour flight. I love taking off in planes. It's so much fun. My blackberry blinks indicating I've got a new text message. I open it up. It's from Zac. I role my eyes. Miss you already L it reads. Pfft! Yeah , I bet you do, while screwing around with Ashley! I sigh and put my phone away. An old guy, about 50, in a suit sits next to me. He just glares at me, telling me to stay out of trouble. Great, I'm sitting next to a guy who thinks I'm a ditzy slut. I just role my eyes and put earphones in, and start listening to Rihanna. Suddenly the guy gets up and moves, and to take his place is a guy, maybe one or two years older then me.
He's got bronze hair, and green eyes. He seems muscular, and damn he is hot! Not meaning to sound cocky, but hot guys are everywhere I look! "Hey," he says. I take out my earphones, trying to be cool. "Hey," I say back. Be cool Saskia, be cool. It seems now that me and Zac arn't really an item anymore, so a whole world of hot guys has opened up for me. "Sorry about the mix up," he says, "but me and that other guy took each others seats before." He smirks. Two can play the game. "Well, I'm glad that's sorted," I wink back at him, "I thought he really had it in for me." He just laughs. "What were you listening to before?" He asks. "Rihanna," I say nodding. "Right," he says, "I'm not really a fan, but some of the remixes are ok." I nod, "so, your into dance music?" I ask him. "Yeah, I actually have done some remixes myself, if you want to listen sometime?" he asks sheepishly. I laugh, "sure! But what will I call you when you invite me to one of your parties?" He smirks at me and I raise my eyebrows. "Oliver," he says sticking his hand out. "Saskia," I say back. "Nice to meet you Saskia, my ex girlfriends sister was called Saskia." I nod. "Nice," I say, and turn the other way. He sighs, "sorry I brought that up, You probably think I'm a player now or something?" I just look his way, "no it's fine, really." He just shruggs and starts tapping a beat with his hands. "So," I say trying to avoid an awkward silence. "How come I never see you around?" I ask him. He cracks a smile. "Well, I actually live in New York, but I only came to LA to visit a friend," he says, probably thinking that I'm trying to figure out his life. What an ass. But he sure is a sexy one. "Right," I say, "yeah, I'm going to Chenary for my senior years." "Really?" I nod. "Did you get expelled from your last school or something?" I stare at him quizically. "Do you read minds or something?" He chuckles, "badass, nah, I only know Chenary cause I have a friend who goes there. He says it's pretty strict." I nod, "Did he get expelled too?" I ask. He looks at me. "Now who's reading minds." I just smirk. "Well, I live pretty close to the school, maybe I'll see you around?" He asks. "Sure," I say. "Pass your phone." He gives it to me and I enter my number in, it's an IPhone, impressive. "Thanks babe, well, hate to break the moment, but I'm gonna try and catch a few winks before we land, wake me when that time comes?" He raises his eyebrows. "Sure," I say putting my Ipod back in. Half an hour gone, 4 hours to go. I decide I might try to get some sleep aswell.
I wake up to Oliver's voice. "Saskia, wake up, half an hour till we land." I wake and look at my watch. It's 12:43pm. "Mmmm," I say rubbing my eyes. "Want some Coke?" He asks giving me the can. I shake my head. "No thanks, I hate drinking that stuff, it's way to fizzy." He just shruggs and keeps drinking. I pop a mint into my mouth and drink some water, waiting for our descend. When we finally get off the plane, it's time for me and Oliver to say goodbye. "Cya Ollie, call me," I say as we have an awkward hug. "Yeah," he says. "Please don't call me Ollie, it's what my grandma calls me." I just laugh. "By the way, who's the friend you know who goes to Chenary?, I might see him around." I ask. He smiles. "A guy called James Donald, he's pretty cool." I widen my eyes. This James guy seems to follow me everywhere. Oliver sees my reaction. "Do you know him?" he asks. "Um.. no, sorry I've gotta train to catch, I'll see you around," I say, quickly giving him a kiss on the cheek and turning around. Well, that was weird, I think. As I look around, I see a Starbucks. Exactly what I need. After pay, I ask the cashier where the train station is, and she tells me that I have to catch a cab to the station. He'll know where to go. I say thanks, and go outside to wait for a taxi. There's about a million lined up, so it shoudn't be a problem. I go to the nearest cab and tell him to take me to the nearest station. He nods and takes me down a couple streets untill we get there. I pay him, and enter the station. Damn it was packed. Lucky I had my ticket pre booked, so I didnt have to wait in line to by the ticket. The train would come in 5 minutes, so I waited on the platform. It was cold, a lot colder than LA. That was something I had to get used to. When the train came, everyone was shoving to get on. Manners? Lucky my bulky luggage was being delivered seperately to the school, otherwise it was a goner for sure. Some douche kept on shoving. "Hey, what the hell's your problem!?" I shouted at him. He looked down at me. Not this again! That 'douche' was that guy who first sat next to me on the plane. I gulped. "Excuse me?" He asks. I just look the other way. "I'll tell you what my problem is? You! You teenagers just think you own the place or something" and with that he barged in. Dude, did you forget to take your meds again? Christ some people were rude. Everyone stared and I just rolled my eyes. When we finally got to Central station, I finally got onto my last train. It wasn't as packed as the train before, but it was filled with Chenary students. They wern't in uniform because it was a Saturday, but I could tell, because what would a teenager be doing on a train that goes to Chenary? Duh! Go to Chenary! I felt all their eyes on me. I had never felt so self conscious in my life! No Saskia! You are confident and fabulous, don't let some other kids make you feel nervous! When we got to the school, my heart stopped, my new life was starting.
