*Saskia’s P.O.V

I couldn’t believe that bitch! I knew she might of had a problem, because I did steal her boyfriend, but still, it didn’t give her the right to get me a one way to trip to detention! I thought it was a bit strange that she was being nice to me, but I would never expect her to actually accuse me of cheating! Seriously, how low can you get? She really just needs to get a life! I kept walking down the hall. I should be chilling in the cafeteria right now, but no, Alicia had to be all pissy and send me to detention! I actually didn’t know where I was heading, but I didn’t really care. So Alicia must be one of those stuck up girls who always get what they want huh? Well two can play the game, and she is going to get exactly what she deserves. My phone suddenly started vibrating and I pulled it out. It was from James. I sighed. Hey, where are you? It read. He cared! I laughed to myself. I got a detention >:/ but I’ll see you after school? I replied. I got an immediate text back. That sucks, yep, sure, meet me at my dorm so I can give you a proper punishment;) I smiled, sure will! I finally found the mystery detention room, E26 and took a seat. There were two other random guys staring at me, I just ignored them, and there was some lazy ass teacher, a man, late 50s and bald, sitting at a desk, looking like he was about to go to sleep. “Ok kids, sit there, and don’t even think about doing any funny business. After the half an hour is up, feel free to leave, but untill then, not a single sound!” and with that, he went back to his desk, and started looking intently at the laptop infront of him. Great, my first day here, and I get a detention. What would my parents say? Better not think of that. I sighed, waiting for the half an hour to be up.

After the detention finally finished, baldy gave his final words. “Ok kids, your detention is up, I am very disappointed in all of you for getting this punishment, and I expect to not see you here again! Do you understand me? Now please leave and be very ashamed at what you did to get you into this detention!” Whatever, it wasn’t my fault that Alicia was a bitch and got me in trouble! She was so getting it! As I was heading out, I heard someone call my name. I turned around and it was that Taylor guy. I smiled. “Hey, Taylor?” I asked him when he came up to me. “Last time I checked,” he replied with a wink. I just rolled my eyes. “So, how are you finding your first day at school?” he asked, actually seeming curious. “Well, if I must tell the complete truth, mixed feelings,” I told him. “Mixed feelings?” he questioned. Jeez, doesn’t anyone get a true feeling these days? I sighed. “Well, if you really want to know, I have made no friends, only enemies, my roomate is a complete freak and I got a detention on my first day!” I shrieked at him. He looked at me with surprised eyes, not expecting the complete blowout, but then he smiled. “Hey, it isn’t that bad, you can have me as a friend if you want?” he asked me. I smiled at him. This guy was, sweet. “Really?” I asked. “Really!” he chuckled. “Aww, thanks Taylor, I will gladly accept your offer!” I chirped giving him by brightest smile. He blushed and laughed. “Ok friend, see you around,” he says and continues to walk the other direction.

After my detention, I have my first ballet class. I groan internally, and go back to my dorm to get the flimsy leotard and pointe shoes. When I get there, Jessie is in the dorm too, with her leotard in hand. Great! “Hey Saskia!” Jessie beams, getting way to excited. I look the other way to roll my eyes and I get the gear. “Hey,” I say without any emotion. I hear her sigh. “So, it looks like you have ballet too, I know you probably think it sucks, but it isn’t as bad as you think!” She tries to compensate. No chance. “Yeah, whatever,” I say, continueing to get my things together. “Everyone thinks the pointe shoes hurt, but they actually don’t, since this your first lesson, the teacher will probably go easy on you, but trust me, you will get better. Maybe I can be your buddy!” She shrieks. I can feel her get excitied. No way! “Thanks for the offer Jessie, but I think I will be ok,” I tell her, trying to be sweet as possible. I don’t want to upset her, but the truth hurts. “Oh, ok then.” I feel her disappointment, but, it was my only choice! With that, I left her to find the dance studio. To tell the truth, I actually kind of knew how to dance ballet, and I had worn pointe shoes before. I started at a young age, because my grandma was really into it, as she was professional, but was too old to teach. She kept on telling my mother to get me into classes, and insisted it was good for me. After too much bugging to take, my mum finally registered me into a ballet class at five. Ballet brought my grandma and I really close, and I continued ballet untill I was thirteen, when my grandma died. I was really gutted, because we were really close, and doing ballet would only bring back good memeories I could never have again. I was too upset to keep going, so it was a real shame because I was gettting quite good. I should probably be ok with doing ballet now, because I am over my grandmother’s death, but hopefully I can still remember the steps. When I got to the studio, there was a teacher with black hair slicked back in a bun, wearing tights and a flowy dress, and demi pointe shoes, and the were seven other girls, all in leotards looking at me, in the middle of a plie. Intimidating much?
