Still in 1st POV...
The house was absolutely silent. Not a peep could be heard. I had to assume that since I didn't hear any of Alfred's humming, he was downstairs in the cave doing comms again. I knew that Barbara, who I have met maybe once (?) also does coms and intel as Oracle, but I guess she was busy with something else. Not that I cared. That meant that I could actually read by the main fireplace in the living area where it was warm, tranquil, and quiet. I think I picked up this habit from Jason. Oh, Jason, how I miss him. He hasn't sent me a letter in forever and I just want to hear back from him. Though since my birthday is coming up, maybe I'll get a book from him or something in the mail! As I was reading a new copy of a book I picked up, I heard a loud slam, probably coming from a door. It piqued my interest a little bit when I stopped reading, but I didn't care that much to get up on my crutches that I was still being forced to use to investigate. I went on reading, but I only got as far as reading one paragraph since the entire power went out. All the lights went out and I couldn't see very well. I had the light of the fireplace to read, but since the power doesn't really ever go out, I had to stand on guard because this could be something bad. That's when I heard an echo of something, a voice maybe. A laugh. Oh. Shit. I threw my book to the side and jumped over the couch and got ready for a fight because right now I was just running on adrenaline. I was scared, like really scared, but it also gave me ample energy to fight this man off for as long as possible before Alfred could send out a distress signal or something. Before I knew it the laugh was getting louder, and soon some circus music started to follow it.
"Who's the birthday girl?!" I could hear the Joker scream out.
A large pop, of either a gun or confetti popper went off and I jumped a tiny bit.
"I'll never not laugh at how jumpy you are, kid! Now would you like me to make you a balloon animal?" The Joker asks with a huge smile that he always had.
"What the hell do you want Joker?" I questioned, stalling for as much time as possible, while kind of stomping my feet to alert Alfred.
"Hey no spoiling the surprises!" Joker shouted as someone came up behind me and hit me upside the head with god knows what.
"I said, 'What do you want?' Money? You crazies always want money right? I can arrange that." I told Joker not wanting to let on that I really am Batgirl and that he had it wrong.
"No, no, money would be nice but that's not why I'm here! I'm here to get the birthday girl! We're going to have a party for you! Did Batsy not give you the invitation?" The Joker said to me, his face now looking like a child begging for something.
That kicked me into overdrive and I started to fight off the buzzing in my head and fight the Joker and his accomplices. I wanted them out of my house, and I wanted them to stay away from the family secret because I didn't want them to find out about anything. These guys did put up a good fight, but since I trained, they still went down, just with more of a fight. The Joker clapped and cheered me on as if I was his entertainment which is when I lost it and aimed a punch right at his face. He caught my fist by my wrist, my bad wrist, and held it very tight. It was super painful and it ached and I wanted him to let go. Then in a menacing voice I didn't even know the Joker was capable of, he told me to shut up and go with him to the party the easy way or the hard way. I spat in his face and he just held my wrist tighter, begging for it to snap again. He then let go while I whimpered in pain then kicked me in the ribs and doused me in something before I passed out.
3rd POV...
Alfred was working comms like (Y/n) had originally thought, and he was working a very easy job that night since things weren't as crazy as they were just the night before. That was when he heard the same loud and very noticeable sounds that (Y/n) had heard that disturbed her reading. The loud thuds of some doors, like the metal security doors, and some fairly heavy footsteps if you were quiet enough. Alfred sent a signal out saying there were some odd sounds in the manor, but Bruce told Alfred to stay put and that he would send Tim to check it out, and that he and Dick wouldn't be far behind. They all had hoped that it was just a false alarm and it was one of the gardeners going in through the manor to head home since not everyone lived there. That was when a loud pop sound could be heard, and not too far after, a loud thump of someone's body falling on the floor could be heard. Alfred told Tim and everyone else to hurry up because it was most likely an intruder and they did as he asked. That was when loud laughing could be heard, but then it suddenly stopped. Alfred rushed upstairs to see what happened. He first noticed the elevator wasn't working so the power must have been out, and the backup generator was working overtime in the cave for Alfred. That made Alfred start doing full house sweeps to check to see if (Y/n) was ok and safe and hopefully reading her book peacefully. That was when he came into the living room. A few guys were moaning in pain and some passed out. Then there was a copy of the book that (Y/n) was reading thrown into the corner with crutches thrown on the floor. The worst had just happened. (Y/n) had been kidnapped by the clown prince of crime, and who knows what terrible things he had planned up his sleeves for this "birthday party" that he had planned.
