Shigaraki had remembered seeing a headline online once. It peaked his interest since it wasn't everyday a child was labeled a villain so openly. Master had told him to start looking for recruits that might share their interests. This way, their cause will grow bigger and gain more followers who are willing to come out when the time comes. The article itself was old, but that didn't matter- anyone who was labeled a villain since the age of 4 was still having issues today. Now Shigaraki only read parts of the article, and that alone was enough to understand what this kid went through. His lips curled upward, he knew how easy this would be. He then talks to his Master about this; his master agrees that the boy in the headlines was indeed well on his way from slipping from the fog that claims heroes are flawless and were to be worshiped.
Kurogiri had also taken a look at it, especially since Tomura had taken an interest in it to the point where he might be joining the League. The boy in the article is a teen now, they'd have to find his address based on the location of the Yochien he went to. The name of the school was in the first paragraph of the report, so it shouldn't be too hard to go look from there.
After about two weeks of looking, they found his house. They had gotten some good informants to scout the area and ask around. As well as occasionally seeing the teen himself leave the house at early morning hours or late at night. From there, Tomura would wait until a month later before confronting Hōshasei. On occasion he noticed that the mint haired teen would take a certain number of alleys for short cuts. For the most part, Hōsha knew when it would be busy in those alleys and when they'd be empty. There was a pattern to the chaos, and he learned it. At times, he always looked in the alley before entering it. Hōshasei knew that if there were more than three figures in the dark corners, that he should just take the long way home.
Tomura saw that each time a report on the boy came back to him, it only spoke of him going to either a giant building in the city or a convenience store. Shigaraki planned something out in order to make him go into that alley. With the help of his Master, he had someone steal Hōsha's mask from his face and run into the alley. Even though the half dark teen was already going down alleys, he wanted to make sure that he went down a little detour that day. A detour that was darker and had less light than the other ones.
"Once he is down in our little trap, I will be his savior. Just like a side quest, he'll stand there unmoving. I'll open his eyes, Master. Just like how you opened mine." Shigaraki spoke to the television with a raspy voice.
"I know you will do well, Tomura Shigaraki. Once you grasp Hōshasei Yudoku's spirit, bring him here. I will talk with the doctor about his quirk and see how we can use it to aid us. You two might even get along. Treat him well, Tomura, and you will see the good that will come your way." All For One's voice came from the speakers of the TV. It held such authority yet such a calm tone. As if nothing in the world was wrong.
"Yes, Master."
Even though Hōshasei was a little unpredictable, and decided to go down the alleys instead of sidewalk out in the open- Shigaraki knew his plan would still work. His lips quirked upward as he saw the 'assailant' take Hōsha's mask off his face and run down the backway like they were told. His eyes narrowed in on the scene before him and began walking towards that same, dark, quiet, long alley. Tomura didn't care about his end of the deal with the fake assailant; he just wanted his new pawn, and nothing would stand in his way. He couldn't even care any less than he did now, as long as he got player-two. This whole thing was a game to Shigaraki. One giant game to defeat the final boss. He needs to expand his party and get enough players to switch between. He we now directly behind assailant and just places his hand on them.
They scream as their body slowly denigrated into dust. Shigaraki picked up Hōsha's mask and held a finger out as to not turn it to dust too. His eyes look up at the other's mismatch ones and make eye contact.
All according to plan.
