I was sitting in our room reading a book on romance between two star crossed lovers in different worlds I'll be honest it was kinda cheesy but enjoyable however reading that made me think back on my own love life and my darling husband cesar

Me and cesar have known each other since childhood it was mostly because our relatives wanted us to be together that we got married so young to join our families together

The fist meeting was very awkward for all involved especially for cesar he didn't want to even look at me when we first met the most I got out of him was a glare

"Hello" was all I could choke out at the time even that he didn't answer to me, looking back on it now I think he was kinda embarrassed and couldn't respond

The time flew by and we both slowly became closer he had a sharp tongue but he was deeply caring, it was very clear the time I got poisoned I was deeply sick for days and couldn't get out of bed and had a very high fever most if not everyone thought I was going to die myself included

However cesar never gave up on me he stayed with me as long as he could holding my hand giving me medicine and water when I woke up he was there he was my constant reassurance

Finally I got better and for the first time ever he hugged me I was so in shock I thought I was dreaming but as soon as I felt warm tears on my shoulder I knew it was real and cesar was there for me

I felt a tap on my shoulder and came back to my senses from memory lane and saw my handsome husband in front of me

"You okay darling?" I nod

"Yep I was just going over old memories" he blinked a bit and with stern face nodded the peaceful moment didn't last long when I heard the cries of our child coming from his crib I walk over and pick him up

"There there sh sh mummy's here" finally I heard his cry's die down to sniffles and then eventually snores

Cesar looked on clueless ever since we had a child he mostly kept them at arms distance it didn't mean he didn't love them it meant that he just didn't know how to interact with them

"Why don't you hold them?" I turn around to and cesar paled at the suggestion

"No it's fine there asleep I don't wanna wake them up it's fine" I shake my head with a smile and walk over to him

"Open your arms" he does as I ask and I place our child in them cesar completely froze up like a statue not dare moving I giggle a bit at the interaction

Our child slowly opened there eyes and looked at there father they smile and reach there arms up for him he pulled them closer and brought his hand down and as soon as the baby held his finger he smiled

"See nothing to be scared of" he looked at me with a loving smile and nods he may be a man of few words but that what I've come to love about him and I hope our family continues to be happy for the rest of time
