What Emu said was still fresh in his mind. However he couldn't get rid of it, it meant...something?
He kept going to school like normal, but Toya, Kohane, and An knew something was bothering Akito.
He was zoning out a lot during practice and his moves suddenly switched energy midway.
Toya was worried for him.
He felt he needed to do something.
Whatever he was thinking about had to be affecting him in some way.
So when An suggested a break, Toya pulled Akito away farther from An and Kohane.
Akito: "Wh- Toya? What's wrong?"
Toya: "I should be asking you that."
By the expression on his face, he was obviously confused. He sighed and explained.
Toya: "I know something's bothering you, and it started when we went to Phoenix Wonderland. You were alone with Emu, so they must have said something that's bothering you this much."
Akito's expression changed from confusion, to realization, to nervousness.
Akito: Fuck, he found out. But I think it was obvious enough.
Akito: "Ok, you caught me. Emu did say something, but I feel like he wouldn't want me to tell you."
Toya: "What are you hiding from me?"
Toya looked...mad? His voice was extremely cold too. It sent shivers down Akito's back. However he never saw this side of Toya.
Toya noticed how uncomfortable Akito looked, and he didn't want his partner to be uncomfortable.
Toya "Well if it's that bad I won't pressure you. But I trust you, Akito."
Akito was still nervous. It's not like he didn't want to tell him, but he felt it was stupid something as "You're handsome" was bothering him so much. If he didn't know Toya better, he would have never told him.
Akito: "Well, I think it's stupid-"
Toya: "Something 'stupid' wouldn't be bothering you this much. Nothing that's bothering you would be stupid in my eyes."
...
He was right.
Akito: "Well...Emu and I were hanging out, but then they just called me handsome out of nowhere and just brushed it off."
Toya: "How did you feel?"
Akito: "Warm. My face flushed a bit, and my heart raced."
Toya: "Hm. This sounds a lot like how Nene acted around Tsukasa."
Akito: "Aren't they dating now?"
Toya: "That's my point. You're in love."
What?
I actually thought about leaving this chapter a cliffhanger but it's the first chapter I'm not doing that.
