Tommy's POV
One week later

Dad actually didn't let me go back out to the ocean. To say I was upset and pissed was an understatement, but, I won't go into detail. School was ass. Sucked massive balls.

I walked into the classroom, immediately recognizing all of the other students. When they saw me, they recognized me too. All of these people are massive dicks, and always made fun of me for anything they could.

For example; how skinny I am, how pale I am, the fact that my family are pirates, the fact that my mum is dead, the fact that my brother is big and scary and has gotten into a bit of legal trouble for it a few times, etcetera.

Anything they could get their hands on, really. What affected me the most was how they made fun of me for my mum being dead. That's one of the things I hate most in the world. How you get bullied for having deceased family members. It makes no sense and it's evil.

"Oooooo, look what the cat dragged in! Or should I say look what the ship dragged in?" A boy laughed. "That makes literally no sense." I replied, trying to sound like I didn't care what he had to say. I went over and sat down at an empty desk.

"Whatcha doing back, huh? Thought you threw your life away to be a thieving, stinky, pirate! What, your brother get in more legal shit and you had to sell the boat to bail him out? Or did your dad die this time, so you don't have anyone to steer the vessel anymore?" He asked, sticking out his bottom lip.

"Fuck you, man! No, neither of those happened!" I scoffed, standing back up to be eye level with him.

"Boys, that's enough. Sit down." The teacher said in a somehow calm voice. I guess he's used to hearing students cuss out other students.

The boy shrugged the teacher off and continued to nag at me.

"Really, why are you back? We don't want you here. Was the salt getting to your brain so daddy sent you back to finish your education?" He asked. "Because we all know your dad didn't finish his own."

"Don't bring my fathers education into this. It's not his fault! His family couldn't afford it, you bitch! You better shut your goddamn mouth before I shut it for you." I snapped back.

You heard "ooooohhhh"s from the other students.

"Boys, sit! Shut your mouthes and sit! There will be no physical or verbal fighting in my classroom. Save it for after school." The teacher said, standing with an angry look.

I went to sit back down as to not cause any more problems, but the boy kept pestering.

"Gonna sit down like a little pussy? Obey him like the teachers pet you are? Huh? Go on, man! Shut my mouth for me! You won't!" He laughed. "You're so pathetic. You literally-"

I cut him off with my fist to his jaw, making him stumble to the side.

"What the hell, man?!" He scoffed, obviously in pain. "You told me to!" I held my hands up in defense.

He glanced over at the teacher for a brief moment before looking back at me.

"Don't look at me, kid. You told him to do it." The teacher exhaled, giving up. "Now, everyone sit down and turn around so we can get on with our lesson." He added.

The boy gave me a mad look before going to the other side of the room to sit in his assigned seat. I sat back down, and everyone turned to face the front.

The rest of the class and day went by slow, but, the bell did eventually ring, and I left fast, as to not get caught up with the boy.

I walked home. The walk was maybe fifteen minutes. When I entered the house, I went into the sitting room, seeing dad and Techno.

"Hey, how was school?" Dad asked.

"Oh, it was just lovely!" I replied sarcastically, clasping my hands together with a fake smile on my face. "The first thing that was said to me today totally wasn't some snarky remark on how my family is pirates and asking me if I'm back because we sold the ship to bail Tech out of jail or if my dad was dead now instead of my mom!" I said, my fake smile dropping once I stopped talking.

"Tommy, I-" Dad started, me cutting him off. "No, no! There's no need to apologize! I'm perfectly fine, it didn't bother me any!" I said, obviously sarcastic. "I'm going to my room. I've got homework."

I then walked away without another word, went to my room, and silently cried until I fell asleep.
