TW// cussing, having people think you're crazy, incoming storm

Wilbur's POV
the next day bc why not

Tommy was out, yet again, with his dad, brother, and two friends. It was relatively quiet, because I wasn't being a menace to the boy. All I did today was toss a pebble, but it missed him and he didn't notice it.

I didn't like how still they water was. It's never like this unless there's going to be a storm, but the sky was clear and bright.

I had head Tommy saying a few days ago that he likes raccoons. His brother then proceeded to call him a raccoon, earning a few playful curses from Tommy.

I knew what raccoons were and what they sounded like, so me, being a Siren, I decided to make Tommy think there was a raccoon in the water. He fell for it, obviously. He was walking around the boat looking in the water, trying to find the nonexistent raccoon.

Apparently, I was a little too close to the surface, because he spotted me under the water.

"Bitch. Can't believe I fuckin' fell for that shit." He scoffed quietly, turning around and walking away. He seemed mad, but I couldn't help but giggle. I guess he has a soft spot for animals, more specifically raccoons. I wonder why he likes raccoons more out of anything he could have chose from.

I poked my head out of the water, noticing we went as close to the shore as usual. They didn't usually come this far out. I wondered how I didn't notice before.

"You ok, Tommy?" His brother asked. "Peachy. This is bull. I can't believe you guys don't believe me. Ranboo and Tubbo believe me. They're better than you and dad. I'm telling you something is in the water."

Tommy's dad and friends were nowhere in sight form what I could see.

"What would it be, Tom? What would be in the water?" His brother asked. Tommy's shrugged. "I mean, it looks like a human but it's obviously not one, and it keeps throwing rocks and shit at me. And it makes noise, but it doesn't talk. Like, animal noises. I and swear I heard singing a few days ago."

His brother looked at him for a moment.

"Well, I don't know what it is. Because what you're describing is a Siren, but if there was a Siren out there, we would have been dead a long time ago." He chuckled. "Do you at least believe me when I say there's something?" Tommy asked. His brother exhaled. "Sort of. I mean, something is obviously there because I too hear taps on the boat and stuff, but, that's about it."

Oops. Am I too loud?

"But, that could be driftwood or a branch or something. I'm not sure, Tommy. What I am sure of, though, is that you're not crazy, I'll tell you that. I've seen my fair share of crazy people, and you aren't one of 'em."

I saw Tommy smile for a second.

"Thanks, Tech." He said. "Uh-huh. Anytime, Tommy." His brother lightly grinned in return.

Tommy then gasped.

"Dad! Techno smiled! He fucking smiled! Quick, come see, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity!" He yelled, running to go find his father.

His brother slightly laughed, rolling his eyes. I smiled too. I never had actually seen Tommy's brother smile. He had a nice smile, I wondered why he never uses it.

I turned, seeing dark storm clouds is the distance. This made me nervous, and I figured they'd be going back to shore very soon. I don't know if they even noticed the storm clouds, though. I could tell them, but then they would know I exist, and what's the fun in that?

I looked back, seeing that Tommy's brother had spotted them too. His face was more serious now.

"Hey, Phil!" He yelled, standing, and walking to where Tommy had ran. He walked into a room and I went underneath to listen.

"Hey, there's a real bad lookin' storm headed this way. We should get back to shore." He said. "Yeah, I saw that, we'll be leaving real soon." Phil replied.

"Awww, I hate storms." I heard Ranboo groan. He sounded nervous. "And that's why we're leaving." Phil said.

I heard the door to the room open and someone leaving. I came back out from under the ship, seeing that the storm had gotten much closer and was gaining by the second.

Phil went to go steer them back home.

"I would tell you three to stay in here but if it gets bad, I don't want a shelf falling on top of any of you, so," Tommy's brother said, opening the door for Tommy's ne his friends to exit.

When they did, Ranboo spotted the cloud, and he looked scared.

"We'll be fine, boss man." Tubbo said, patting Ranboo's arm. Ranboo silently nodded to reply.

And soon, they were going back to shore. Slowing, because it's a big ship, but they were going.
