It was around night time and I was still working, I worked for the Qixing. Today was a long day and all I wished for was to just go home and see Zhongli. I was staring out the window when someone tapped my back, when I snapped back into reality I looked to see Ganyu standing in front of me.

"Oh, Ganyu did you need anything?" I sat up quickly, noticing Ganyu holding a pile of documents.

"Lady Ninguangg asked for you to sign these documents, she says because you're half adeptus like me. It wont take too long to sign them... Oh yeah! Once you finish, you're able to head home!" Ganyu smiled at me then dumped the documents on my desk before walking out of my office.

I stared at the pile of documents and then put my head on my desk as I groaned. The pile was quite big and it looked like it was around 100 documents. I grabbed my pen, dipped it in the ink, and then started signing. 3 hours flew by, and I was only halfway done, I could barley keep my eyes open. I knew I had to finish or Ninguangg wouldn't be pleased with me. Looking at the clock, I decided to have a break for a bit, it was only 1 am. I got up, and walked outside of the Jade chamber for some air, and I stared at the view.

Everyone in Liyue was asleep, all of the bright lights that were on during the early evening were off now, the only light was the stars and my anemo vision shimmering in the moons glow. I looked up at the sky, letting the wind flow in my hair and dress but I realised it was not time to rest yet. I headed back to my office to sign the rest of the documents. At this point it was 3am and I didn't realise I had fallen asleep in my chair before a gust of wind snapped me awake. I rubbed my eyes to see a familiar silhouette standing in front of me.

"Conqueror of demons?" I was surprised by the sudden visit. Xiao gave me a cold look.

"Aren't you aware of how late it is. Why do you remain working?" He turned to face me putting his polearm aside.

"Why are you here?" I leaned back in my chair, crossing my legs while Xiao sighed as he tried to hide his small blush.

"Rex Lapis sent me to search for you." Xiao looked away from me. He admired Zhongli a lot, almost like a fanboy. Gah! I totally forgot about Zhongli! he must be so worried.. I thought to myself
"Well, tell him I'm alright and there is no need to worry" I yawned before seeing the documents and sighing. He stared at me.

"Mom- I mean!- Guan Yin... Do you need any help with those?" He stood next to me, looking at the papers as he tried his best to not show his embarrassment over what he just let slip.

"Oh, I don't want to interrupt your demon killing, and besides I'm almost done" I smiled at Xiao and he flushed a little red.

"As you wish." He then disappeared in the snap of a finger.

I already figured out that Xiao sees me as a mother since I cared for him in the past, that's why he cared for me when Zhongli wasn't around. It was 3:30am and I was finally done. I sighed in relief, and grabbed my things before heading home. I was too tired to change my clothes or even shower and my hands were blistered from writing so much.

When I finally reached home I flopped onto the couch, I was even too tired to go to bed. My arm was lazily plopped over my eyes.. My feet ached from today's work. I removed my arm from my face and looked at the ceiling before I heard footsteps walking to the front door. I sat up and saw Zhongli about to leave the house.

"Zhongli..?" I whispered, trying not to wake up Childe who was asleep upstairs. Zhongli turned to face me and he gave me a hug.

"Guan Yin. I was so worried you wouldn't come back. What took so long?" He sat next to me and put his hand on my thigh.

"Sorry, I had a lot of work to do.." I let an awkward laugh out. "But, I'll make it up to you 'kay?"

"Well then.." Zhongli grabbed me by the waist and pulled me close to him, "If you sleep with me tonight, I'll forgive you" He grinned at me and a blush started to form on my face.

"What if Childe sees us?" I asked but he didn't seem to care about that. Zhongli tucked a piece of loose hair behind my ear.

"Then he'll know you're mine and mine only." He spoke before pressing his lips against mine. I had no idea why, but tonight, Zhongli was acting more clingy towards me, though I didn't mind, in fact, I liked it.

"Take the day off work tomorrow" He suggested.

"But you know I work for the Qixing-" I was cut off by him pressing his finger on my lips.

"Shh.. Just do it. For me? Please." Zhongli's voice became lower and I couldn't help but blush as he chuckled at me.

"Shall we head to bed then?" He said standing up pulling me with him.

"Yes we shall" I giggled as we made our way to his room..
