Chapter 3

I was in a very heavy sleep with a wonderful dream, in fact I was completely lost in my dream that was until a squeaky but loud yell was heard, I quickly gasped while pulling my body upwards "what in the world was that?!" I questioned myself while reaching toward my night light and quickly pulled the string causing it to bright up, the sudden bright light blinded me for second but my eyes quickly adjusted themselves. I quite literally forced my body to stand up, I groaned a bit while stretching adjusting my entire body of the gravity that was pulling my body down, "Ugh, what was that sound?" I questioned myself while walking slowly out of my comfort zone, I made my way toward the source of the noise but stopped in front of a closed room, "oh it's just him" I whispered to myself, my anger quickly softened as I opened the door which revealed a small version of me crying out his eyes while sitting on his unmade bed, "Hey, lil' Petey" I said while coming closer to the crying cat, he quickly looked up and jumped right into my arms, "D-dad" he stuttered trying to grasp some air, "yes?" I asked as soft as I could, "I h-had a b-bad dr-dream" he said still stuttering, I whipped his tear away while looking at, "it's alright, nothing can hurt now" I told him trying to confort him while placing him on his bed, "dad can I sleep with you?" He asked ever so softly while trying to stop his crying, I looked down at him trying to figure out my words, "um- why don't I just read you a bed time story" I insisted but he seemed to dislike the idea "okay.." even if he disliked the idea he didn't want to argue with his dad. I tucked him in his now messy covers and when he was finally tucked in Petey went to lil' Petty's book-shelve picking a random book, " alright, let's read" Petey said with a proud tone.

20 minutes went by till lil' Petey was knocked out in his sleep, Petey quietly sighed trying his hardest not to wake lil' Petey from his dream, he slowly made his way out of the small room and quietly closed the door, after he was finally out of the room he let out a audible groan as he quickly zoomed toward his confort zone, his room, once he arrived to his room he slid his way back to bed, " finally I could get some more sleep" he told himself happily, but suddenly there was a loud annoying beeping sound, his head turned toward to the source of noise and noticed that the annoying beeping noice was his alarm, "Ughhhhh, what ever" he groaned while pushing himself upwards once again, "time to start the day" he said ever so quiet.

Meanwhile in a certain station there is certain positive loud dog.. well the dog would be positive any other day but today he was unusually... quiet, it was very odd to all of his other co-workers. Dogman was getting his normal morning coffee but he seemed to zone out cause once he regained himself all of the boiling water was pouring out of his coffee mug and some water was on his paw, "ouch! That burns" he yelled while moving his paw away the hot mug, "whoa, are you okay?" A sudden deep voice questioned Dogman, Dogman threw his head to face the person that scared him a bit, "C-Chief?!" Dogman was shocked at first, "wha- oh um yes, I'm alright" Dogman quickly added to his last statement while violating nodding his head. The Chief looked at Dogman with concern but he quickly ignored it and started talking, "well then I came to ask you something" the Chief had a hint of seriousness in his tone of voice, Dogman quickly stood up straight understanding the sudden change of attitude in the room, " we have a new mission and it's about Petey" the Chief quickly added to his last statement, Dogman's face quickly lit up a bright red as he heard the name Petey, "are you up for the challenge?" The Chief asked, breaking Dogman's flustered moment, " yes sir" Dogman said trying to cover his nervous tone of voice with a proud and loud tone, The Chief nodded his head in approval.
