Chapter 7

As everyone left the game, Niragi turned towards me.
"I can't wait to see Chishiyas face when I tell him I've killed you" he laughed menacingly, I actually felt scared for a second "Luckily I'm already covered in blood" he added.
"I would ask for payment, but fucking with that dick will be enough for me" he got in the car still laughing, before rolling down the window and shouting to me and Kuina. "I'll be back in 24 hours, try not to actually die" he sped off in his car before we could answer him. I can't believe we're actually working together with Niragi to get some sort of emotional response from Chishiya.
I turned to face Kuina.
"Do you think we've gone too far?" I asked nervously.
"Hell no! He's messed people about long enough, he deserves this! Plus, his emotionless act can only go so far. I need to make him realise he can actually feel things, he thinks he can treat other people's emotions like they mean nothing!" Kuina started ranting about Chishiya. But I still couldn't help but feel guilty for him. Would he forgive us for this? "I need to show him emotions arnt a weakness" Kuina sighed, finally finishing her rant.
We found somewhere safe to stay for the night, luckily Niragi had brung some food and blankets for us on the way here that we had already stored in a nearby shop, he wasn't so bad when he knew he could mess with someone else.
As we got settled for the night I began to remember that I used to do this alone for weeks. It felt weird having someone with me this time, someone I cared about so much. I kind of felt protective, I knew what people were like out here and what they would do.
It was late so Kuina and I laid out the blankets and cuddled up to eachother to keep warm.
"This is kinda nice. No noise from the idiots at the beach, no blaring lights, just me and my best friend. Its peaceful" Kuina said as she rested her head on my shoulder. My heart filled with joy at the thought of us being best friends, I've never had a best friend before. I rested my head on top of hers and gripped her arm tightly. We both closed our eyes and decided to sleep, hopefully no one would come in here.

Luckily we both woke up to the sunshine through the cracks of the broken window. We had made it through the night. We both yawned loudly and stretched our arms dramatically.
"One good thing about The Beach is having a bed, my back is killing!" I said mid yawn.
Kuina nodded as we both laughed.
We looked through the bag to see what food Niragi had packed for us. We both smirked to ourselves.
"Is this what he classes as food?" Kuina looked at me, her eyes lit up with laughter. It was 4 packs of sweets and 2 cans of cola.
"Atleast we'll have enough sugar, we'll be bouncing away down the street if someone came after us" I replied, both of us giggling.
We had a pack of sweets each and decided to share a cola.
"This is kind of exciting! This is the first time I've left The Beach! Except for the games of course" Kuina jumped up, grabbing my hands and pulling me up with her.
"We probably should find the stuff from Hatters list before we get too excited. He said he wouldn't be happy if we didn't come back with everything" I replied, Kuina started pouting.
"I forgot about the stupid list, what's even on there anyway?" Kuina asked as I pulled the sheet of paper from my pocket.
"Most of it seems pretty normal; canned food, washing detergent, fizzy drinks, medicine....condoms..." We both rolled our eyes "that's underlined too" I giggled showing the paper to Kuina. We both began laughing again.
"Some of that should be pretty easy to find, I can't imagine many other people are looking for things to wash their clothes with" Kuina linked my arm as we began walking around the shop we were already in. Most of the shelves were empty.
"Maybe we should try somewhere else?" She asked and I nodded.

We spent the next few hours looking around different shops, finding most of the things on Hatters list and more.
"I think he's going to be really happy with all this!" Kuina exclaimed, we had found so much stuff we had to get a trolley each to hold it all. "I didn't expect this much stuff to be left!".

"Now we just need to find the medicine and condoms" I chuckled to myself.
We began walking until we found a pharmacy, we went inside and to our surprise there was quite a bit of stuff left.
"Found the condoms!" Kuina picked up a box and waved them around. "Wait, which size do we get?" She looked confused at the boxes.
"Maybe just take all of them" I replied giggling.
We found bandages and medicine, and some more extra stuff not on Hatters list.
"What should we do now?" I shrugged towards Kuina.
"Oh I know! Let's put makeup on eachother!" Kuina jumped excitedly.
We spent the next few hours doing eachothers make up and painting each others nails. I didn't want the day to end. We couldn't stop complementing eachother on how beautiful we looked. It felt amazing having a person like Kuina in my life.
"I can't believe being out here all day, we haven't even seen one person" Kuina commented on the quite streets.
"Yeah, I found I could go days without seeing anyone out of games, it got pretty lonely sometimes" I sighed. "Luckily for me I enjoy my own company" I playfully nudged Kuina. "But I enjoy the time I spend with you so much more!" I pull Kuina in for a big hug and she tightly hugs me back.
We spend a bit longer walking around the streets, looking for anything else we could find.
"Hey y/n" Kuina stops in front of me and holds my face in one hand. "Keep still" she pulls out a lipstick from her bikini top and applies it to my lips.
"I remember you said red was your favourite colour. It was the last one in this shade, I wanted to give you it as a surprise when we got back, to thank you for a great day, but I'm not good at surprises" she smiled to herself as she grabbed my shoulders and turned me towards a shop window. I stared at myself in disbelief, I didn't realise how good I actually looked. I can't remember the last time I saw myself in makeup. I got so used to not looking at myself in the mirror because I couldn't help but notice all my flaws. But Kuina helped me realised how pretty I was. She had done my makeup so naturally, and the red lipstick really made everything pop.
"Thank you" I said in shock as she pulled me in for another hug.
"The red really does suit you, not like you need it though!" Kuina replied, she really did know how to make me feel better. I could feel tears in my eyes, but I stopped myself from crying because Kuina would kill me if I smudged my mascara. I can't believe how normal everything felt today. It was all because of Kuina.
We both noticed the sun already setting and the streets were becoming darker.
"Crap! We need to get back to the store before Niragi! I can't imagine he would wait around for us!" I grabbed Kuinas hand and we both began running back to the store with the trolleys we had filled.
As we approached the store, out of breath, Niragi was already there. He was leant up against the car.
"Well this is a nice surprise, getting all dolled up for me" Niragi slowly saunted towards me, stroking my hair from my face.
"You wish" Kuina slapped his hand away from me.
"Don't worry, I can handle you both at the same time. Don't be jealous of y/n" he said towards Kuina, he looked back towards me, deep into my eyes. "You know I have a weakness for y/n" he said again pressing his body on mine, his hand around my waist.
I took a step back as Kuina pushed him again.
"We want to know about Chishiya, what has he been like today?" I asked Niragi, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh that dick. Not seen him all day. He went to his room last night and hasn't come back out since" Niragi shrugged to himself as he started emptying the trolleys in the car. "Although last night he cried" he added.
Me and Kuina widened our eyes at eachother. He cried? We didn't expect that from him. I didn't want that to happen. I don't know what reaction I wanted from Chishiya, but crying wasn't it.
"What do you mean he cried?" Kuina questioned Niragi.
"Like, he cried. I don't know how else to explain it. Liquid dripped from his eyes?" Niragi sarcastically answered Kuina.
Was Niragi lying to us? I began to feel so much more guilty.
"I told him I killed you both, he stupidly believed me, he fell to his knees and cried" Niragi took a deep breath "it was kind of weird to see come to think about it...satisfying, but weird" he added.
After Niragi had finished emptying the trolleys in the car we all got inside and Niragi started the engine.
"So you sure you don't wanna have some fun before we head back?" Niragi questioned us both, but we were both to shocked to answer. Me and Kuina looked at eachother, both looking guilt ridden for Chishiya. Niragi just clicks his tongue and shakes his head.
"I hope he forgives us" I whisper to Kuina and she just nods. We held each others hands all the way back.
Finally, we get back to The Beach.
