Gloom

Ding!

Charlotte was making the food when I heard the doorbell ring.
"Hunny do you mind getting that for me!" I heard her say from downstairs.
I rush down the stairs and open the door to see willow and chase
Chase was taller than his mom but willow had on high heels so you couldn't tell.
"Hi!" We both say at the same time
I put out my hand for her to shake but she pulls me into a tight hug. She was looking good for her age.
She pulls me back to get a good look at me.
"Oh how much you have grown." She looks back up at me "it's good to see you again" I put on a smile.

"Of course, you too" willow spots my mom and runs up to her to probably start talking to her about how much I've "grown"
I move aside so chase has room to come in.
He had longer hair then I remember.
Like long long.
"Hey I'm chase" he says putting his hands in his sweatshirt pockets
"Yeah I remember"
" oh really so you remember when we used to climb trees when we were younger"
I laugh a bit
"Yeah I do" he laughed a bit and oooo he had a nice smile.
"Honey come eat!" I hear my mom say as I hear moving utensils.
We look towards where we hear the voices and look back at eachother and he jesters me to go first.
This is gonna be a awkward dinner I thought as I started walking to the table.
Later after the dinner I find out that I am not gonna know anyone at school.
Chase is homeschool but I never up asked why. And besides him I'm never gonna really know anyone.
This will be ... interesting.
