DELILAH

I sprayed 'Vanilla Seduction' my signature perfume on the pale yellow 'Surviving Chilton' tips and tricks cards, before sliding them into the two blue gift bags for the new students arriving today. As president and founder of the welcoming committee at Chilton, I was going to be showing them around today and I love to give all the new students a goodie bag full of things that help me out.

Delilah got her backpack and ran downstairs bags in hands. "Dad! You have to take me to school, someone wanted to take my car to the shop."

She took a bite of the toast on her dad's plate. "Well, someone wanted to hit a curb."

"I swear it just popped up."

"Yeah that happens when you're putting on mascara, instead of looking at the road."

He started towards the door as his daughter followed after him. "It helps me achieve a doe eyed look," she pouted.

"I'm going to cut your license up."

She was waiting for Rory and Blake Gilmore. She glanced at her watch as she waited for the pair, who were running late.

As the three made their way towards the girl, Lorelai Gilmore ran into a man who began flirting with her. "Uh, I'm Ian Florence. My daughter goes to school here." They shook hands.

"Hi! I'm Lorelai Gilmore. These are my kids, Rory and Blake." Rory looked annoyed and Blake gave a slight nod.

"Your kids? Really?" He questioned surprised, "wow, that's great. Uh I mean, kids are a great thing.

"We're big fans."

Ian laughed, "yeah. So, is your husband here? I'd love to meet him."

"Um, no. I'm not married. I'd love to meet your wife, though."

"I'm divorced."

"Shame," the woman shortly replied.

Rory sighed and interrupted, "excuse me. We really got to.."

"Right! We gotta go meet someone and I gotta get back to work."

"Where do you work?"

"At an inn. The Independence Inn. I run it."

"Really?"

"In a different outfit, of course."

"Would you happen to know," she looked at a piece of paper and read, "'Delilah Florence'?"

"That's her over there." He pointed to the beautiful brunette.

"I can see why she's the welcome committee. What they couldn't get Cindy Crawford?" Lorelai joked.

He laughed, "she's my daughter."

"Oh, that makes sense," she checked the man out.

"Mom," Rory groaned.

"Sorry, man, someone forgot to take her a Xanax this morning," Blake joked, his eyes not leaving the gorgeous girl.
