Music has been a big part of Yunjin's life since she was little; one of her earliest memories is when she was still a kid, doing karaoke with her father. When she was in middle school she started learning how to play guitar and then she took her passion for music to dancing. Yunjin found her through passion. She breathes and sweats and bleeds dancing. It is her escape from reality.
When she's in the studio, just focusing on the melody and the moves, she is invincible. The drama and hardships of her life fade into the background like white noise as she relaxes and absolutely nothing can bring her down-
But suddenly, a body slams into her so hard that she's sent tumbling ungracefully to the ground like a rag doll. For a brief moment, she's disoriented, greedily sucking in the breath that had been knocked out of her. Then she realizes that the person is none other than Kazuha. Yunjin quickly clambers to her feet "Don't get in my way, new girl" Kazuha says looking Yunjin up and down.
Yunjin is this close to screaming in sheer frustration, because this isn't the first time Kazuha has abused on her position as the ballet's captain on her today - it's the third freaking time and therefore not a coincidence. Kazuha has it out for her today and Yunjin knows it's about Yunjin hijacking the Fimmies' table the other day.
Yunjin has tried to not succumb and endure whatever Kazuha has dished out for her today, because surely, Kazuha's going to be bored soon. That hope dies tragically when Kazuha announces it's time for Etendre practice and looks directly at Yunjin,
"You'll go one by one. New girl! We are starting from you, go!"
Yunjin blinks and opens her mouth to protest, because she knows this won't end pleasantly for her. However, before she can even formulate a word, Kazuha barks at her,
"Go, new girl! We don't have all day here!"
Yunjin bites hard into the inside of her cheek and forces a smile as she starts to perform the move. At first, she does quite well considering the Etendre is a considerably difficult move but then she makes the mistake of taking a glance on Kazuha. The tall girl has an indescifrable face. You could never really tell what was going on inside her mind. Yunjin wondered if her whole act against the Fimmies would put her position in the ballet into risk. She finished the move quite proud of herself.
"Focus, Yunjin," Kazuha says warningly. "You've been slacking lately."
Yunjin huffs and rises to her feet, glaring at Kazuha. "I've been slacking lately? You just expect to do exactly like the rest of you when I just joined a month ago."
Kazuha chuckles, "Stop being so overdramatic. This is ballet. Ballet is war. If you can't stand the fire then get out of my studio. You could've keep up with the rest of the girls if you had been prioritizing your ballet practice rather than your petty feuds with Chaewon."
"She started it!" Yunjin exclaims petulantly.
"Yeah, that doesn't sound childish at all," Kazuha says and rolls her eyes so hard Yunjin can't imagine it doesn't hurt.
"Listen, we haven't had a bad performance since I became captain and we've got our first performance very soon, so I'll be damned if I let you jeopardize this ballet because you're too busy with your campaign drama."
As much as Yunjin hates to admit it, she can't deny that Kazuha is fucking scary when she wants to be. She's got that look in her eyes that makes you believe she was a mafia boss in a past life. Yunjin admires her passion for the ballet, but she'd admire it a lot more if she wasn't the object of Kazuha's wrath at the moment.
"Am I clear?" Kazuha asks and Yunjin opens her mouth to defend herself, but once again, Kazuha doesn't let her speak.
"Good," she says and she looks back to the rest of the girls. "We've wasted enough time. Let's continue girls."
