Chaewon scrolls through her tumblr with a bored sigh. Reception isn't the best by the parking lot, where she's currently sitting as she waits for Kazuha and Sakura, and it's taking forever to load the posts.

A honk sounds and Chaewon lifts her head to see Kazuha parking her car, with a panic-stricken Sakura by her side, as usual. She rolls her eyes and slides down from the wall where she had been for the past ten minutes.

"Morning, ladies," she greets with a big smile, leaning over Sakura's open window.

"You're in an awfully good mood," Sakura says, closing the car door behind her. "Is Yunjin dead? Did you make her yell at you already even though it's only-" she makes a show of looking at her watch, "-8:18?"

"Don't you mention that name to me so early in the morning," Chaewon huffs, with a flip of her hair. "I was having a good day, Kkura!"

Kazuha snorts, grabbing the wrists of them both to start pulling them towards the school entrance. "Spill it, Unnie."

"My parents will be gone this weekend and they're only coming back Sunday evening!" Chaewon announces, clapping her hands excitedly. "We can finally have a party, it's been so long!"

"Ohhh." Kazuha starts tapping her fingertips against each other, a grin on her face. "Party party? On Saturday?"

"It's the first party of the year, it needs to be massive." Kazuha says.

"We invite the whole school? We come up with a theme?" Sakura asks, stopping by her locker to leave her cheerleading bag.

"No themes, that's too much work and it's already Wednesday, we don't have that much time," Chaewon says, shrugging. "And I don't want an open invitation to the whole school either because the one time we did that, my house was such a mess that even the cleaners couldn't bring it back to normal and I got grounded for a month."

"Alright, so who are we inviting?" Kazuha persists. "The cool kids?"

"Of course," Sakura states, as if it were obvious.

"Yes, but also, I'll make sure to get some strategic invitations in place."

Kazuha lifts an eyebrow at Chaewon, but Sakura just shakes her head.

"It's election season, Chae." Kazuha rolls her eyes and starts walking away. "Every event is a political event!"

Chaewon finishes applying her makeup - nothing too extravagant, just eyeliner and mascara to draw attention to her eyes, and pink lipgloss because she likes the way it looks on her. She calls Zuha,

"Where are you? Party starts in less than two hours, I need help!"

"Will you just relax, Unnie? All this stress isn't good for you. I'm on my way and I got Kkura with me already. Five minutes or so." Zuha says.

"You shouldn't drive while speaking on the phone, Zuha."

Kazuha hangs up with a sneer and Chaewon giggles.

There are loud bangs at the door and Chaewon runs again, not even bothering to check the peephole. Only Kazuha would announce her arrival that obnoxiously.

Chaewon stops by the threshold, staring at her friends. They look gorgeous, like pop stars on the red carpet, and her heart skips a beat. "Wow."

"See Unnie? Just on time," Kazuha comments, walking past her to leave a heavy bag on the living room table. "Go with Kkura, there's more stuff in the car."

They'd brought snacks, lots and lots of ice and red cups, and Sakura's sound system. Chaewon's house is perfect for parties since it's the last in the neighbourhood, a bit isolated on top of the small hill, so even when music is loud, it's never loud enough to disturb the local peace.
