The Waves of Aquarius

The Lady of Dawn was leading The Lovers. A woman with golden naked skin riding on a red horse. He'd cross his heart that she existed on his way to the sunrise but all these doubting Thomases would make him look like a jerk-off. He was staring at her back, never encountering her face.

The nature became as crimson as the horse's coat, the blossoms turned azure and grew in haste for him to see while he was driving ahead forsaking their farewell. The road resembled a long, grey tongue swallowing them straight to the sun's heartbeat. He wasn't intimidated. His chest was swollen with agony, he pressed the gas and ran on the open road. He was free.

Nora was resting beside him. If only she could gaze upon the fiery dawn! The sun seemed bigger as it reached the earth to witness the greatness of The Lovers. He was brighter than the sun, his eyes had the gleam of an unprecedented emotion. He couldn't utter a word from the sensation of his joy!

His cool fingertips were trembling as he tightened his eager grip around the wheel. He dreamed of the Hawaiian dawn. There the sun would be closer to them and he'd reach for its golden haze once he stood between the rolling waves with cunning Nora by his side on a surfboard in a slurpy maraschino cherry bikini!

He could sense the saltiness of the sea spattering his smug. The droplets dripped on his neck, his forehead. He pressed the gas with a violent urge, with a vile greed. The trees couldn't reach them, the asphalt steamed under his passing, his white Caddy wheels were fleeting shooting stars as they crossed the world.

Farewell Roseville! Goodbye Chicago! Adieu Sergio! So long, Cicillia's pool joint! My dear Jim, the hell with the fucking neighborhood! I've paid my dues to every sucker of yous! If only you had the courage to escape too! I'm a gone go-go lover, goodbye!

His eyes tore. Good riddance! He was driving away from the indolent life awaiting for him in Chicago. Hawaii existed for Nora and Harry. The wind raised the gleaming sand from the shore expecting The Lovers. The palm trees were greener, they grew higher. His hand arched a mark of escaping sand at is flew away from his clenched fist.

An impetuous deity, a satyr with his panpipe wandered towards the horizon holding the wheel with firm hands. He laughed at the dizziness of speed, the wheels were tromping, he felt the world trembling of ire and ecstasy while he reigned over it with his clunker Caddy.

Like a manic Pegasus running between the clouds gnawing the bit from the heat, he pressed his teeth as the high force made him numb. The frisson heartbeat of the force itched his chest.

A beast obeyed him, it submitted to Harry and he gave in. He ran as the Pegasus' eyes shimmered becoming one with his that opened wide to admire the dream of Aquarius. Such beauty! How could his heart behold this desire? He couldn't be satisfied – he was passing across the world turning into a fleeting line he couldn't gaze. The place of the overbearing sight had taken something untamed.

That view offered the freedom to his heart, he devoted it to the steely stallion that shivers and wanders like a giant among the wonders of this land. A hymn to the beast with the wheel in your hands, a hymn to the Caddy's dance.

He travels around the world! To the very edge of this earth he'll drift if that's what he'll desire for there are no limits, there are no limits for him nevermore! Towards his infinite self he'll strand. It howls, it screams but the sun cannot reach. It twists and turns, the smoke on the road hides them until they pierce the horizon, they shutter it, they escape beyond!

Take me, he'll cry! Take me, he'll say again! Harry won't hesitate for nothing matters but the beautiful demon's fever that scalds his chest. Here, the hands of the wind suffocate him, they grip his throat and he welcomes them lustful. He surrenders to the rough hold for this is the greatness of speed. The holding becomes furious as he lifts his head to sense the cool velvet touch over his body penetrating him, becoming him.

Mountains! What good can come out of these old mountains? Condemned to the bitter fate of eternal roots. Away then! Away and far! Away from every mountain and tree, away from the silent and muted earth, away from the dry soil and the unfortunate, the cursed mountains!

The impetuous deity passes across inside his steely stallion! Wake up, my love he says and holds her hand. Vigorous arms glowing under the rosy light of dawn. Wake up, my love, the night is gone! Wake up, lover, there's only one star left before us!

He passes across and submerges the world! On his silver stallion he's incomparable! The sky adorns his body with the lights reflecting in his misty eyes. Diamonds adorn him but he disdains, he overtakes, he conquers! Faster, he says to himself! Faster!

He mustn't stop, nothing must tire him. His foot doesn't step on the breaks, he takes it away to become truly free! Harry is dreaming of claiming the pulse of the machine... And so he smashes them! Smash the breaks if you will! You are not timid, you're not hesitant. These reflections don't belong to you now. You escape, you soar in galaxies, you shiver – you shiver and in a cry the wide universe you hide in your loins; you bathe in the starry river of the heavens!

Harry lets his hand out of the speeding Caddy, his palm opens in eager. His head comes out of the window, he unties his long blond hair. He savors the triumph. Here, on his skin the sun reflects and he hides each sunbeam in his fist. He dares to stare straight at the sun for only his eyes could gleam brighter. The force! The force Nora gifted him! In his chest jumps and bursts like a white flame, he opens his mouth to spread it on the perpetual route!

Who are you, brave child? The Lady of Dawn asks and he replies in pride; I who the world devour! Ahead you stride, brave child, devour! It belongs to you. Smash the breaks! Smash them! Her cry is the windy whistle of the ether. What did mighty Odysseus fear once the winds escaped his grip? Harry doesn't fear the waves of Aquarius! Come winds, come to overwhelm the young lovers! Come! Don't hesitate! A hurricane will subsume them, it will dance and embrace them. He was in love – such a haze! The waves were never as jade and teal! The foams were never as adorned! He traveled across the universe. He was free.

"I love you, Baby Bud", he caressed her golden face, she kissed his fingers with half-open eyes. Mephisto disdains the myrmidons of hell for them.
