Not Samragini Draupadi But Just Krishnaa

Happiness with a tint of sadness

The tunes of music graced every ear and every corner of the kingdom. The divine smell of Aggarvatis and diyas were bringing peace to mind and pleasure to the nose while the beautiful flowers pleased the eyes. Not only that but the birds were also creating their own music to celebrate the day. The children of kingdom too excited were running everywhere and spreading their happiness to every nook and corner.

Welcome to the kingdom of panchala.

In the middle stood a huge palace of unmatchable beauty and magnificent architecture which was basking in the rays of sun and gleaming like the purest of all metals.

Inside the palace everyone was running and panicking. Today was a very important, wait scratch that, the most important day for panchala

Today is the swayamvar of draupadi. Draupadi- also known as krishnaa is beloved daughter of King drupad, mata prishathi and the god of fire. She is the mahalaxmi of panchal. The pride of all panchala. The life of her brothers and the daughter of her elder sister.

A man walked to a room. His sons followed him. He was revealed to be Drupad. Soon the announcement of his youngest daughter coming rang in the room.

All of them looked as the wives of drupad and wives of Panchal princes entered and behind them, the chief queen, prishathi along with sikhandini entered with the life of Panchal.

All of them noticed their daughter/sister ready in her signature red saree for the swayamvar. She looked like a goddess. They all looked proud but then sadness gripped their heart. They all have thought of her marriage. Of all the things they will do for her but when the day Finally came they don't have the courage to send her somewhere else. Drupad broke the ice as draupadi touched his feet.

Drupad- my daughter...... prishathi look at my daughter....she....she is going to get married today.....look how gorgeous she is looking. Can u believe that we were blessed with this soul which is purest of all only 2 years back?

Tejveer- should we really have to get her married pitashree?

Kumara- yes pitashree, let her stay here with us, we could pamper her day and night and she would delight our heart with happiness.

Yudhamanyu- yes pitashree, bhratas are right. We only got 2 years to spend with her. We didn't even see her childhood.

Prishathi- and we will see her childhood in her daughter, my dear. I know it is hard my priya putras.

Satyajit- mata she is born since 2 years only. She is still a baby. And u are talking about her babies? And what is the guarantee that the man who wins her will take care of her like we did? She is too innocent and sweet to see the cruelties of the world.

Drupad- I know putra, and that's why I am using this kindhura bow. This could be weld properly only by the one who is on the path of dharma.

Dristdyumn- but still pitashree, can't it happen that we keep her here? I could feed her or scold her or even help her in her mischiefs this way. And we will protect her always, pamper her, answer all her curiosity and treat her like a baby.

Satyendra- I agree pitashree. Let's cancel this swayamvar.

Sikhandini- this is needed my priya Anuj for the establishment of dharma. And if she is married doesn't mean that she isn't our sister anymore, right?

Tejveer- obviously not, she is our sister first then anything else and no matter whom she marries today we all will love of her and protect her.

Kumara- remember my priya krishnaa, just one message and we all will reach there.

Dristdyumn- doesn't matter who is infront of us. We will not leave them if they ever give u slightest bit of pain.

Satyajit- yes this is the promise of a brother to his sister.

Draupadi burst into tears when she heard them. How much they love her? She was pampered as she was the only daughter after sikhandini and the youngest among them. She was afraid of who was going to be her groom but after seeing such pure love she knows that even if her husband leaves her her brothers won't ever leave her.

Yadhamanyu and satendra wipped her tears.

Tejveer- do you know sister why woman have to leave their home and not man?

Draupadi- no....no bhaiya.

Dristyadumna- because woman are stronger than man mentally and emotionally.

Satyajit- we are not even able to depart from u dear behena.

Kumara- and I can't even think if i will be able to bear it if someone ask me to leave my family.

And then no one knows who took the first initiative but the king and his queens witnessed as the children of Drupad hugged each other as they remisnished their time as a perfect and complete family, the whole surrounding was filled with laughter of happiness of the princes, senapati and the princess and a tint of sadness with tears streaming down their faces. Draupadi was ready for the challenges but only if she knew she could never be ready for what was going to happen next...........................
