Chapter 4 Lesson 1

About 1 hour after Loak and Na'tali's conversation, the rest of the village began to awaken. Loak was in his hut with the rest of his family eating breakfast. He decided he was going to share the news about Na'tali and who she really was with them. He was going to tell Neytam and Kiri first as he wanted to see how he would react. This would determine how he was going to tell the rest of the family. When his siblings finally woke up he went over to them.

As soon as Loak saw his eyes flicker open he shook him awake. "Bro, i gotta tell you something" 

"Bro how long have you been up, jeez" Neytam said, in his morning voice.

"Please Teyam, it's important" Loak urged.

Neytam sat up straight, rubbing his eyes and adjusting them to the daylight. "Hold up, I gotta get Kiri too," Loak said. Neytam suddenly became worried. If what he had to share with him involved Kiri he thought it meant he was in deep shit and needed help, Neytam knew that this would eventually get him in trouble too.

"Shit bro, what did you do?" Neytam asked Loak as he shook Kiri awake.

"I'll tell you in a sec, and for the record i didn't do anything", "Kiri wake up i need to tell you something important". Loak whispered to his sister.

"Omg, why so early, Loak '' Kiri complained, her eyes still closed. With Kiri awake he signed for Neytam to come over to them. And he did.

"Spit it out Loak" Neytam urged.

"Ok, so" he started "You guys remember Na'tali Hart?" he questioned

His siblings eyes widened as they were both surprised their brother hadn't caused some sort of trouble. "You mean the ghost story?" Said Neytam. Loak gave his brother an annoyed look but then continued.

"Na'tali is here!" He said, "She's the chief's niece, Na'tali, she's alive" he exclaimed. His siblings both finally connected the dots and came to realization.

"That's Na'tali!?" Asked Kiri. Loak nodded a smile on his face.

"She looks so different," Neytam said, processing the information he had just heard.

"Well duh, the last time we saw her she was 6 years old" Kiri rolled her eyes at Neytam's comment. "I can't believe she's alive," Kiri said while looking at Loak. "Does she remember us?" Kiri questioned Loak.

"Ya, i'm gonna tell mom and dad about her right now" He said, impatiently starting to get up.

"Wait" Neytam stopped Loak and grabbed his arm before he left. "How are you so sure?"

"I talked to her this morning," Loak said, releasing his arm from his brother's grip. Kiri and Neytam exchanged a look, they realized this was why their brother was up so early.

Neytam felt a weird feeling in his stomach. After they arrived, he noticed Na'tali, he couldn't take his eyes off her. He wondered if she ever noticed him. Or if she was only interested in his brother. Of course Neytam was overjoyed that she was alive, and his brother had gotten his friend back, he just didn't know how this would change things. Especially since none of them had seen her in years, plus he was never really close with Na'tali, she seemed to only like hanging out with Loak and Kiri.

Loak told his parents what he had learned. They both had puzzled looks on their faces, trying to remember the Navi girl. Neytiri thought of the girl's parents and about how Na'tali didn't know they died. She decided she wasn't going to tell her unless she asked her herself. Jake on the other hand was simply happy Loak had found his friend again, he didn't know any other way to react, after all the family barely knew the girl anymore.
