"welcome home!" Benji says as he greets me at the door.
I finally decided to come home after spending 3 weeks in my hometown in Arizona.
Benji leans in to hug me. " so how are you, dear!"
I say to Benji. "I'm great!"
Benji smiles and me then looks down at his phone.
"knock knock!" a voice calls out from the doorway.
"Nic? I though you were in Paris?" I say.
" got the first flight back home once I heard you were coming back!" Nic smiles.
I run up to Nic and hug him.
" who's up for italian food!" benji says and smiles at me.
" awesome" I smile.
Benji walks out the door before me and Nic to make a phone call.
"Hey!" benji says over the phone.
I peek closer to the door to hear him on the phone.
I hear a very distinct voice, sounds like someone I know.
I think to myself "that's definitely Jorge!"
"I'll see you tonight!" I so happen to hear Benji say.
I grunt and walk back over to Nic.
Benji comes back inside "sorry that was Nils, he was just wanting to chat."
I grunt as I know he's a liar.
" how could he lie to me AND Nic like that! I hate him!" I think to myself.
I feel tears starting to trickle down my cheek, I keep my cool and just decide to get in the car.
" let's go boys!" I call out from the car.
"so what did Nils have to say?" I ask wonder what lies he's going to spill out.
" he just wanted to know if you've came home yet, he's still in Paris but he's working on getting a flight home." Benji looks at me and smiles.
I smile back knowing he doesn't know what I know.
I start to feel tears spilling out of my eyes. I start to sniffle.
Benji looks back at me and grabs my hand " what's wrong?"
I wipe my tears and start to realize what I just did, I exposed my self for knowing his secret.
I think to myself " what am I supposed to do know!"
Benji stares at me. I reply " umm nothing, just missing az, you know how it is."
