I walked out of the testing room, sighing. Why did today have to be the literal worst day of my entire existence. I mean, I love my job, but sometimes people get on my nerves.

While being zoned out, I didn't realize where I walked to. And as I regained my mindset I realized that I had strolled to the very place I wanted to be every second of my life.

The cell of SCP 049.

Not gonna lie, I was a bit nervous around him. But he never seemed to really show violent behavior towards me. Maybe he really likes me?

No, he had said he loved me a few months ago. And I love him too.

Through all the tests that I had been permitted to do, he was quite pleasant. Most people warned me against getting really close to him. But as you know, I completely disregarded everything that they said.

He was kind of attractive though. With his tall build, with his good posture. I had never seen his face before, but the mask was supposedly non removable .

Very... Interesting...

I wonder what he looks like, under the mask he so dearly loves. Is he scarred? Attractive? Not that I'm complaining though. I wouldn't really mind what he looked like. He did have a nice voice, slightly deep and scratchy. It sounded downright attractive.

Now I had been standing by his door for a few minutes, and I think the guards walking around were getting suspicious of my presence. So I took a deep breath, and opened the door.

Ok, that wasn't so bad, right? Just gotta keep going.

And there he is...

Sitting on a wooden stool, absorbed by his work in all his glory, was 049.
If the sheer amount of butterflies were real, I would have practically thrown up. I didn't know why I got so nervous around him.

"Looks like I have a visitor." A chuckle echoed in his room, a little scruffy through the mask. His voice, HIS GODDAMN VOICE. Wait, he didn't even look at me, how in the flying hell... Whatever.

"Hey 049!" I said, thanking the world my voice didn't crack. I scanned my card, stepped in, and grimaced at the pile of bodies in the corner.

"Would it hurt to clean in here?" I commented, scrunching my nose at the smell.

"I suppose, but I'd rather not" his voice came from beside me.
Wait.
Beside me?

"WHAT IN THE FLYING HELL" I exclaimed, practically feeling my soul descend. "DONT DO THAT"

That laugh, that goddamn laughter that I could never seem to forget. I loved it, it was like a drug to me.

"Dear, it's been to long that we've seen" 049 dipped you in a romantic way. Trying to be romantic, I guess.

"It's been like a week?" I chuckled "clingy much?"

He groaned "I'm trying to be romantic here, and you're not helping."

You pulled him into a hug, relishing the moment that you two hardly ever had. He smelled like dried herbs and flowers, under all that bloody stench of course.

"Looks like someone's cuddly" he poked your face, laughing slightly.

"Oh shut up" you groaned at his teasing, tightening your hold on him. You buried your slightly red face in his chest.

It was quiet for a minute, just you two relaxing in the moment, breathing in each other.

"I love you ya know" his chest rumbled with his words.

"I know, 'm pretty aware of that" your face burned a little more.

"You know-" he was cut off by your mic buzzing, a voice cutting through the white noise of the room

'Y/N, your being requested at sector 2 for an interview' the voice buzzed on the comms

You groaned, loosening the grip you had. You really didn't want to go, but duty calls I guess?

"I'll come back later tonight, OK?" You grunted, slowly pulling yourself towards the door.

"And I'll miss you every second, dear" he whispered, softly but loud enough for you to hear.

That damn romantic bird...
